I had the Meater and I bought the Meater Pro because it was advertised to have better range than the original. It has about 5 more feet of range. It works great, but still has a very limited Bluetooth range.

Our daughter and son in law BBQ'd a "Cowboy steak" for us using the Meater in a pellet fed BBQ/smoker. It was delicious. The Meater took so much guess work out of the process, and at the same time made it fun. I got home and bought my own Meater, wireless thermometer. I cooked some Cowboy Steaks in our weber BBQ kettle. The set up instructions were so easy. The app give easy instructions on how to prepare the meat, how to cook it, how long to let it rest, the whole process. It was so fun, and tasted GREAT!

Take all the guess work out of cooking a steak.
I use a gas grill and have made about 15 steaks since buying. The app makes it easy - just make sure you have the meater in the center and it poking against the edge of your meat.
