I absolutely love this! I clean 2-3 homes a day. I have always used Shark vacuums and this is by far the best

Doesn't work on area rugs

Disappointed. I am considering returning. Works well everywhere except on our large area rugs. It is impossible to use carpet mode on them. This is our second Shark cordless vacuum. We had no issues whatsoever with our other Shark. How is this an improved model with less functionality since the new model won't work on area rugs? Huge flaw!

Not that impressed.

I can’t believe someone designed this so it cannot stand upright on its own. That’s a huge drawback, and if I knew this, I would’ve never purchased it. Second, even though it says it goes backwards and forwards, if you have a tufted carpet like I do you have to lift it or it won’t move. Third, emptying the reservoir of the dust, etc., is really tricky. There’s really nothing online for this model and I probably spent two hours of my valuable time that I’ll never get back trying to figure out how to do it. I finally had to call!! Definitely feels like it weighs more than 4 pounds to me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my New Shark

This is my 2nd Shark vacuum. I am still using my first Shark vacuum. It is one you plug in. I wanted a cordless vacuum so I could vacuum my vinyl flooring and my carpeted bedrooms. I wanted something quick and easy to use in between my big cleanings. So far, I'm very impressed with this vacuum. The charge seems to last the amount of time I'm using it. It picks up dust and dirt extremely well. Handles very well in the corners and edges. I haven't experienced a clog or anything yet, so I'm not familiar with dealing with that. I haven't cleaned any filters or anything else either or dealt with anything wrapping around the rollers. Over all I'm very happy with my choice. I'll always get a Shark. If I had to say anything negative about the vacuum it would be that I wish it stood upright on its own. The other thing would be that they could include the instruction booklet with the unit. I had to go online and print it out to have for future reference. (It does include a quick start guide which doesn't say much)
I would recommend this to a friend!

I reviewed several vacuums and it came down to the Shark and Dyson products. Although I did not actually try out either of them, I did read countless reviews and watched several video demonstrations and even a head-to-head comparison video.
I decided to go with the Shark. The main reason was the price. I felt that after all I had read and seen, the differences between the two were minimal. But the difference between the prices definitely was not.
I purchased the Shark PowerDetect model. It is an outstanding vacuum. It is the first cordless vacuum I’ve ever used and what a difference! I truly enjoy vacuuming my floors. No kidding! It’s just so easy to grab the lightweight but powerful vacuum that’s standing up in my pantry, turning it on and starting in!
I love how it automatically adjusts for hardwood, rugs, and carpet. It does everything that it is advertised to do.
But really, it is the light weight and the cordless aspects of this vacuum that I appreciate the most. It is just so easy to use.
I’ve had it for about a month now and could not be happier.
