LOVE this model. This is my 3rd Shark vac and I am thrilled with it. It's lightweight, powerful, easy to maneuver. Everything about it is convenient and easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

disappointing overall

honestly i had high hopes for this vacuum- i thought if i spent more money on a vacuum it would be closer to what i need. i want a cordless vacuum, light weight, for floors and low pile rugs. from the very first use, this vacuum stalled out several times over inability to pick up small items, like a small piece of candy wrapper. it drags on rugs, so you basically have to push it. the side detect feature doesn't actually work very well. the vacuum is heavy on top and cramped my hand after a few minutes of use. the swivel on the very bottom is very loose and flops all over the place. the battery did not last long (maybe 15 minutes?) when run on mostly high suction, which was necessary because it did not suck well on the regular setting.
i like the light feature on the vacuum to see where i was vacuuming, the mid- swivel setting to get under things, and the high suction setting is pretty strong.
overall, i'm disappointed and don't think this vacuum was worth the money and will be more of a hassle than help cleaning.

From a Dyson to a shark- never going back!

I switched from a Dyson to a shark and I would never go back. In my option the Dyson are overpriced and built poorly now( there is a reason they only have a 2 year warranty). On the other hand shark offers a 5 year warranty. The powerdetect is great for adjusting to different floors, and is very powerful! I was amazed at how much it pick up on just a few passes. Do yourself a favor and buy it, you won’t regret it!

Over a period of years, I have owned and loved 2 Shark Rockets.
I do not like this Shark Power Detect Cordless Vacuum. The suction is great but it is really hard to push. The new style roller has so much resistance that it is a chore to push the vacuum.
The old Shark Rocket moved like a rocket this Power Detect does not.

still debating

Still deciding. I have only run it 3 times. After the 2nd. time I noticed that some items where not being picked up and items tucked against the wall are not being picked up. I also noticed that going from carpet to hardwood happens after a few seconds and is marking my floors. I love the light and it shows everything!! It does not fit under my couch even in the bent position. My couch is average high.

The best vacuum we have had and also the dog hair is removed.
We also have the cable version as a stand by but the battery version is more versatile and we will continue to use Shark where possible.
