Discover 1 ST - 250 mile review.

After 250 miles I've been very impressed with the performance and reliability of the Discover 1. I considered several other models and brands, but the overall value, UL certification, and a nearby dealer were my deciding factors.Being a senior rider with bad knees, the ST was the obvious choice. At 6'3" my biggest concern was how well it would fit. Turned out to be reasonably comfortable right out of the box. I have since added a 2 inch longer suspension seatpost which made a HUGE difference in comfort.The smoothness, quietness, and performance of the motor have been very impressive. Range from the battery has been outstanding, averaging 55-60 miles in PAS 2.My riding area includes narrow and tight multi-use paths so good handling and braking are priorities. This bike has made it seem easy. Smooth throttle engagement in the loser PAS settings makes low speed maneuvering much easier.At 250 miles the only maintenance has been checking the spokes, nuts and bolts for tightness, cleaning and lubing the chain, and re-aligning the brake calipers once.At this point, I'm very happy with the Discover 1 ST and hope to be for many more miles to come.
