My bike

I love my bike but I was in hurry when I ordered it. I hit the wrong button and ordered the Discovery when I wanted the Nomad. My bad. I just saw the color and bought. Great bike though. I may have to try to sell it and then get my Nomad. Everything was great on your end. Thanks for having a great product that performs as advertised.

Hits the bullseye for allowing arthritic knees to ride again

Bought the Discover 1 for my wife who has arthritic knees. She could no longer ride any kind of hills or long distance without severe pain the next day. The Discover 1 will allow her to ride, get exercise and I’ll be able to join her. After receiving the bike and unpacking, it took me about an hour to put it together. If you have an extra set of hands for this, it will make it a lot easier. While putting the bike together I put the battery on charge. Instructions are clear and tools provided work fine.I road tested the Discover 1 to “shake it down” for my wife and make sure all electronics, shifters, brakes all were working. I am pleased to say no adjustments were necessary. The experience was more fun than I expected and left me feeling I should have ordered two bikes. For her initial ride, we took the Discover 1 to a large open parking lot. My wife took to it like a duck to water. She said she could tell when she pedaled and could feel the stress in her knees that using the pedal assist took all of the pain away. She had a smile from ear to ear when she tested Pedal Assist level 5, doing 20 Mph. The shifters and brakes are really nice. We used to ride high end road bikes and while not top of the line, these are very, very nice gears, shifters and brakes. The Discover 1 has a lot of safety features that I like. The rear light is lit all the time the battery is on. It comes with a nice LED front light. A bell is included to let people know you’re there. The battery has been UL tested and listed. I am an engineer that works in Energy Storage with large lithium batteries and this was really important to me. Kudos to Velotric for not going cheap on battery testing and safety. My wife can’t wait to cruise the neighborhood and we are already planning some long Greenway trips. The Discover 1 is just what she needed.
