I needed a new bike because of a recent health issue I had a hard time getting on and off my regular bike. The step through design and assist modes have been great. I've been getting out and riding almost every day.

My wife wanted them. I kind of dragged my feet because I don’t need an Electric bike. I like my regular bike. We got them ( that’s why I have been married 40 years) and we both fell in love with them. We get more exercise because we ride longer. Every smooth and can’t even tell it’s electric if you keep it down to 2 assist. 100 miles in and we love it.

If you are on the fence about purchasing this or any ebike. I will save you time and say get this bike. I spent quite a few hours researching different bikes and reading/watching reviews but I went with the discover and have absolutely no regrets. It's fast but very easy to control using different pas levels. Makes it up steep hills with little assistance on my part. The battery is probably the best part though as you can easily take this bike 40 miles using throttle only and still have battery life. (I'm around 200 pounds too) super fun to ride, looks honestly really cool and just a great bike.

I bought two of these for my partner and me. Felt good about it from order to ride! These are great bikes. Well packaged, quality materials, easy assembly.......plus they perform well!

I like it a lot but I think I would have preferred getting the nomad for the bigger tires realizing now that I have an electric bike, there’s other places I’d like to take it and I think that fat tires would’ve been a better way to go

Brakes on Discover 1 Urban Ebike

The front and rear brakes work, however, and quite a bit of rubbing noise after applied for regular stopping. Both seem to have a vacuum issue when brake is release, causing a metal on metal sound, that does go away, after pumping the both brakes a few time, which of course stops the motor accelration immediately.
