Over all high-quality for the price. Pros:Easy assembly, quality parts, good handling, excellent safety features (lights, breaks and break light etc.) good display.Cons:Power delivery is abrupt. More gradual articulation on throttle and a more subtle application of pedal assist would make it perfect.

Motor

After a ride of 2.5 miles my motor shut off, screen blank. Happened about 5 times, then I stopped for 10 minutes before starting the motor again. After that rest, it worked fine. Bike has about 6 miles on it, only ridden two short rides before today. What's wrong?

This ebike is perfect for folks like me with lower back problems. The handlebar orientation, upright positioning and the addition of a Cloud 9 seat keep me comfy for hours. The battery life is incredible — so far I haven’t lost more than one bar on the battery gauge in a single ride. This keeps up with much more expensive ebikes. In fact, I hold the land speed record among my little biker gang — 39mph downhill. So fun! And I haven’t met a hill it can’t climb. The only downside has been the shipping delays. I ordered my bike (which came with a free lock and rear rack) on 8/30. At that time, Velotric quoted 3 weeks for shipping and it arrived on 9/26. Not too bad, but it came without the lock and rear rack. We had an Aventon ebike stolen recently, so it put a damper on my rides while I waited for the lock because I couldn’t let it out of my sight. The lock arrived on 10/21 — nearly 2 months after I ordered it! The good news is that it’s a very solid lock and the promotion saved me a considerable amount of money. I am still waiting for the rear rack, however. I look forward to strapping my backpack to that thing someday...I considered taking a star away for the shipping delays, but honestly this bike is worth the waits.

Why buy anything else. I looked at many ebikes before purchasing my Velotric. It is everything I hoped it would be and more. I charged my battery and headed for the trail. First day 30 miles and I only used 1 bar (20%) of power. Getting ready to but another one for my wife.

Bike works great.Assembly was easy. Only bad thing to report was that I didn't receive the phone holder that was offered for free. I didn't order the holder , expected to see special instructions.

Bought this for my wife and she is really enjoying it. It rides comfortably, love the 5 pedal assist levels, very solid build, simple controls, and long battery life.
