great commuter bike

I love my Velotric bike for the price I paid. I use it as a commuter bike and it works great. I feel like I rarely charge the battery and can go the whole week on one charge. My work commute is 11 miles round trip. The whole way home from work is uphill so it definitely helps. I also ride it to the stores when I need just a few things. I get many compliments on the look of the bike (which is not why I bought it but a plus). It would be nice if it had one more speed with a little more oomph. I love that it is pedal assist and throttle options. Was ok to put together but had difficulty lining up the neck with the front tire just right for handlebar alignment. Also had to bend the metal holding the fenders on so the plastic fender did not rub on the tire. The travel on the front suspension makes for a smoother ride. The derailleur/drivetrain does a good job at shifting.

Great value for high quality bike

Easy to order; ok to assemble-though the directions are weak (they should provide a video how to!); but most importantly, the bike is awesome. Looks great. Quality parts. Rides nicely. The throttle is mediocre. Very happy.

Bad Controller

Bought this bike 2 MONTHS ago and it arrived with a Bad Controller. Still waiting for a new controller.. seems like Velotric only ships out complete bikes but getting parts is tough. Where do we get parts??????

We discovered e-bikes on our anniversary trip and it was a well known brand so we weren’t certain that Volectric would matchup (new e-bike brands pop up daily) but the Discover 1 has exceeded expectations
