Great bike, It’s everything we thought it would be. The new five assist levels and hydraulic brakes really bring it all together.

Great bike even for "oldsters"

We received the bike and it was easy to assemble. Unfortunately, the rear/brake light wasn't working but with help from Customer Care and a couple tries at new parts, that they promptly shipped to us, it is now working fine. Husband is 74 and absolutely loves the bike. We live in a rural area and the roads are horrible. The bike can handle the rough road and with assist, he has no problems coming up our long, steep, gravel driveway. We are very pleased with the bike.

The bike was fairly easy to put together, but due to packing the fenders were warped and rubbed on the tires. I'm using bungee cords to straighten that out. But, I had the bike up to 25.4 mph! Battery has a habit of popping out after a bump, so bungee cords have double duty. Lastly, I found I could use Youtube to calibrate the brakes. Unfortunately my local bike shop won't touch the bike, so wish me luck with future repairs.

I did my research on this bike because I was put in charge of a bike raffle to benefit non profit organizations in my town. I must say that it’s the best value for your money in ebikes. My only ding. Is that I would have paid a little more for hydroelectric brakes. Because of the bike I purchased, three other people have bought four bikes. A total of four bike in our little town alone. And more people are calling to ask me about the bike. Great Bike!!

Sadly disappointed with my purchase

We really wanted to love this bike. We purchased this bike for my son's graduation gift and brakes were squeeking pretty badly right off the bat so I tried contacting velotric; no response. Two weeks later the brakes go out completely while on the road, so I contacted them again and still no response. We took the bike in to a professional buke shop and they said brakes were trash and would need to be replaced soon. How is this possible when I've had the bike for less than a month!?! They said they'd reinstall and they had a bit of life left in them, but I should look into replacing soon. So they replaced and both worked fine leaving the shop, the left one went out again. Now the bike sits in our garage until we can replace the brakes because I'm too scared to let my son ride with just the right brakes working because those will likely go out any day now. More disappointing than the brakes themselves is the lack of response from velotric. 👎👎👎👎👎

We bought 2 gray D1 bikes and love the product. We ordered the front rack & phone holders. We added one left side mirror and a basket for the back. Pleasure riding and getting groceries is all fun on these bikes.
