Delivery was speedy and packaging fantastic. Everything was secure and protected. Assembly was easy and fun. If you’re not handy, you can still do it with the great manual and videos. It took me about 45 minutes. The battery had enough charge to test the bike. It’s winter here but dry enough to go for a spin. Wow! Coming from a throttle only bike, pedal assist was great. Five levels plenty, and a thumb throttle useful for coasting. The bike is comfortable, too, with the slightly larger tires and suspension fork.! It’s not a complaint, but one suggestion I have is to require a little more effort in 7th gear as there wasn’t any boost offered at that combo. Otherwise, w are going to enjoy these on our local trails once the weather improves! We’re very impressed with the quality and value.

My fourth and best ebike

I have had 3 ebikes previous to this one oveevthe past 6 years. This is bybfar best...lightweight yet very robust and solid, very comfortable including the standard seat, tons of power from the e boost, and yes, ig WILL go approx. 60 miles on a charge!

Thoroughly Enjoying the Ride

I bought the Discover 1 E-bike for my wife this Christmas. From the moment she first saw it she has loved it. The color first caught her attention. The dimensions and fit are perfect for a woman with her height in her torso as opposed to her legs. The speed and performance are just what she needs in central Pennsylvania with rolling hills and some steep upgrades to depart our neighborhood. I am an avid cyclist. But my wife is not. The Velotric Discover 1 is the perfect E-bike to allow us to enjoy bicycling together. The ease of assembly is also a great touch point. I am experienced in bicycle maintenance. The Discover 1 was easy to assemble and comes with all of the tools necessary. Even a first-time bicycle owner could assemble it with the help of the YouTube video from Velotric. The parts and components are of high quality and I expect them to last for years and years.

Great FUN bike

This was ordered for my wife, 5' 8, 140 pounds. We got the step through version.She loves it, and I get to ride it when she's not looking. I'm 6', 190 lbs, and its incredibly comfortable after seat adjustment.I put it together on arrival. It took about an hour, but I was taking my time, and reading and re reading instructions, which probably was a little overkill. It was really easy. No reason to send this to a bike shop to be put together. With written and video instructions, assembly was pretty much a no brainer. I've ridden ebikes before, and the gears and pedal asssist were prety intuitive. Never used a throttle before - that was prtty neat. The bike has amazing pickup, and is so much fun to ride. Looking forward to warmer weather when we can get out more often. Will need to get a more substantial bike rack for a 65 lb bike. There may be another coming in the future, for me!.

Not satisfied with 5 power settings.Each setting has a non adjustable top speed.Pedal assist is simply on or off.Harder pedaling has no effect over light pedaling.If you want to go faster by pedaling harder,it will not work.You must increase the power setting to allow for increased speed.Disappointing.
