In the last month, I purchased several peak design products. I travel often for work, and I was eyeing the EDBP for months to make said travel a little less miserable.
I finally bought it and it exceeded my expectations. Quality design and materials.
When I showed my wife the bag she got a sad look on her face. I asked her what the issue was, and she was like - I can't go back to my old bag. So I got her one too.
The modular storage pouches and easy accessibility allow me to use the bag for work and for my video/camera projects. I have a spot for all my stuff and I carry a bunch so I don't have to repack my bags when I travel.
Great bag, glad I got it. My wife loves hers. Everybody is happy.

Almost perfect

Absolutely love this bag, design is super convenient for easy camera access and It perfectly fits all my stuff. I bought the black V2 and I love the look however the black material marks very easily (Marks can be brushed off easily but still annoying). Also the straps are too firm in my opinion and would like extra padding.

Upgrade from Chrome Industries for Bike Commuting
on January 3, 2020

I recently got into the Everyday Backpack from a Chrom Industries Barrage Cargo and would definitely consider the backpack from Peak Designs an upgrade. It's easy to get the bag on and off and fits more comfortably thanks to the pivoting strap attachment points. The customizable interior and access to my stuff in the pack in the thing of dreams - no more digging through a top-loading roll-top. Equally important as a bike commuter is the weather resistance of this bag. It's been a rainy start to winter and the bag can take everything mother nature has thrown at it thus far. Lastly, the 20L size is perfect to carry a few toiletries, small everyday carry items, and my lunch on the inside while my u-lock and travel mug slide easily into the exterior side pockets. The "pocket" atop the laptop sleeve for a couple edc essentials is clutch as well. Love this bag!

V3 will be a better bag, but this is better than v1

V2 fixed SOME of my gripes. Here are the diffs:
The interior color is light gray. I have a black bag and didn't like the Black and Tan combo. I know that's petty. 8-)
The flap pockets - having one large zipper was a PITA. I'm a huge fan of the two smaller zip pockets in the flaps. However, the top pocket's magnet is so weak, it doesn't stay shut EVER. I wedge a small pouch into both.
Key tether - They made this a cord, not a strap (flat). That's better. The bottom of the side handles are now “inside” the side pouches. So if you attach it to those handles or the loop in the pouch, it tucks inside. Good, not great.
The v2 laptop compartment is far more spacious. The v1 was crazy tight, so “far more spacious” is true, but it's still tight with a laptop and ipad (in a case) in there.
Beef #1 - They STILL did not put a clip in either side compartment. So keys and card cases just flop around. The smaller zipper compartment helps (see above). However, 3-4 anchor points INSIDE the bag for your own clips would be great.
Beef #2 - The pre-set pocket sizes are a bit silly. Given the slack in the pocket elastics, you'd be CRAZY anything valuable in them. None of these little pockets “grab” enough to use in any meaningful way unless you wedge large things in them.
Beef #3 - There is no slot or attachment point for your name/ biz card/ ID. I ended up attaching my airline FF card to the zipper pull on the flap's internal zipper.
V2 is better, but there are silly misses.

Great bag for holding pretty much everything...

I mainly purchased the Everyday Backpack (30L) to consolidate my laptop bag and the secondary photography bag I'd been carrying around. It's so much more convenient to grab the one bag each morning on my way out, and know that it has everything I could possibly need in it.
I can fit all the things I carried before in two bags easily with room left over, and it's not like the 30L is ridiculously large in comparison to what I used before--it's just laid out logically.
It really is remarkable how much can fit, and how accessible things are once they're stowed. I love the magnetic latch system on the top and the material feels like it will hold up well over the long run.
These are some of the things I have in there today with room to spare:
15" laptop iPad Pro 10.2" Mavic 2 Pro - with 3 batteries and controller Sony A7R3 body with 24-105mm attached External HD, case with extra SD cards eskate remote and charger GoPro Fusion
Very satisfied with the purchase, and look forward to buying additional quality Peak accessories in the future.

Good backpack and best for daily use

I purchased the backpack one month ago and the experience is really good. The inside divider is excellent and suitable for 1 Sony A7R4 with 2 lens (14-24 and 28-75). The color is subtle but good for boy and girl. I use it daily and the flexible is best when I forget to bring the shopping bag, so I can put the stuffs inside the bag.

Awesome backpack for everyday carry
on January 7, 2020

I previously owned the V1 version of the Everyday Backpack and loved the design and used it daily. I am not a photographer, so I use just for my daily carry of laptop and tablet, along with miscellaneous items like my wallet and headphones for the office. Once the V2 was announced, I quickly ordered because of the refinements to the design, like more comfortable straps and the slimmed down the number of internal pockets, which I thought was a little too excessive in the V1, though that is only a minor gripe. My V1 still looks brand new, so these things are durable. My favorite touch in the V2 is the magnets in the straps so that they cling to the bag when not in use for a much cleaner look when carrying the backpack with a side handle. Overall, I think this is a stellar bag with a ton of great features, that also looks professional enough for the office while looking sleek and modern. I went with the 30L version since I am 6'5", which looks better on my frame than the 20L. I highly recommend for everyday carry even if you are not a photographer. It's pricey, but the quality is top-notch.

Ultimate Camera Bag
on January 7, 2020

I recently got the new Midnight Backpack V2. It is the best travel backpack for my Sony Camera. The 20L look small but it can pack tons of camera gears that perfectly fit for Sony or any mirrorless camera. The comfort on the shoulder greatly improves from the v1 and the magnet feature is one of good implementation. The best thing about v2 is the colours. it gives more option for people to choose from. I love my midnight backpack V2.
My bag actually came with a minor defect, which is really a minor where the bag material on the surface was damaged. However, the customer services were extremely friendly, fast response and quick action. They even gave me an option to use the bag first and return them back after my travel. I would say First class service right there.
I even regretted not getting 30L as it didn't fit all the stuff which includes my clothes.
