I purchased the 30L V2 Black and absolutely LOVE this bag! This bag is beautiful!!! I'm able to fit most of my camera kit to have on me at all times.
Here's what I have in mine: * Sony A7R II * Sony A6300 * Sony 18-105 F4 * Tamron 28-75 F2.8 * 2 Godox TT600 speedlites * Godox Flash trigger * AndyCine A6 external monitor * 4 Sony batteries, cables and external charger * 15" Macbook Pro * 15" external USB monitor * Headphones * 3 external harddrives * cables and SD card holder * Logitech MX Master 2S
The only thing about this bag that I hope gets updated in the next version is the laptop zipper. I wish it would open a little wider to help make getting things in/out of it easier.
I have used this backpack for several photography trips. It serves as a "regular" backpack when I am on the planes and I use it for my cameras and lenses when I arrive. I love the versatility, lightness and ability to reconfigure it as I need. It also fits all my Olympus micro 4/3's camera gear I need on the go. I am not as happy with the waist strap, it is not easy to reach or supportive, so I do not use it. The water bottle side pouch does not stretch enough to fit a most water bottles if the pack is loaded. Make that stretchy thing 1/4" longer!
These is the second bag I have the other one is the 20L for need the extra space for longer trips. It's built very well like the first on. The up grades from Version one are nice but I would not upgrade just for them. Things I like are how sleek these bags are, quality and the ability to adjust from a book bag to a camera bag!
I shoot couples and seniors in the Las Vegas Valley and used the bag for the first time yesterday. It performed phenomenally! I'm 6'5” and I thought the 30L bag would fit me odd like any other backpack I've worn. It fit like a glove. The compartments throughout the bag make it so you can come up with your own configuration that works with your gear. The shelves have little flip-up lens holders that ensure lenses aren't just flopping around in the bag. You can tell an army of photographers worked to create the most perfect photographer's backpack in the history of humanity and they did. It's amazing and I love it.
Everything's perfect and its the best backpack existing on earth as of date. This backpack is on a different league so please dont compare those 4 stars with any other backpacks.
You would have got my 5 stars if the below mentioned things would have been present. 1.Pocket on the straps for easy access of passport or credit cards 2.Rain cover. 3.Seperate pocket at the bottom to store wet clothes or shoes etc etc. 4.Hip belt. 6.A dedicated easy access compartment for storing sunglasses. 7.Leather version would look out of the world. 8.Some more room for expansion.
It only took this one purchase from peak design and I am now looking for excuses to replace my previous collection of bags and accessories with peak design stuff. A place for everything and everything in its place.
A very good backpack for everyday use and business trips. I carry a large laptop and some other tech. the 30L has the right size. I really like the magnets which keeps the back tidy on overhead compartments.
