I love everything about the bag! The Everyday Bagpack v2 suits my everyday need! Can't wait to try this bag for travelling overseas! Keep making great products!
First off - Peak Design's customer service and lifetime warranty are worth the price of admission. I'm transitioning from a V1 Charcoal to V2 Charcoal and below are my thoughts:
Pros - Improvements: - Good lord, the V2 charcoal looks great compared to V1! - Bigger hidden pocket under the front lid; way nicer for those with phat wallets - Minor, but the lid corners have now also been rounded - I haven't seen this spoken about much, but it helps with my anxiety of my little knick knacks falling out when on its side. - Strap magnets are SO nice for keeping them in check. As a landscape photographer, I'm often finding a nice safe place to set the bag, and not having the straps flying around definitely helps. - The loops are GIRTHY. And the 'hooks' are much improved to the V1 and more like latches. - Stap ergonomics feel good; I've found myself with sore shoulders WAY less often.
Cons - Things I miss: - I miss the old wing internal zips :( - it was a great place to throw larger miscellaneous items that didn't necessarily belong in my main pockets (example: camera remote, cables, pamphlets, etc.) - Hip strap - while not great, it took up little room and was a life saver in the V1. Having it be completely absent isn't thrilling.
Overall, perhaps not a MASSIVE overall improvement, but absolutely a much needed modernization to an already almost perfect bag. 11/10 would buy again.
Best camera/diaper bag a dad photographer could hope for.

This is by far the best backpack I have ever owned. I'm a new father and I can comfortably carry all my camera stuff with laptop and my baby stuff. After using this 30L everyday backpack the last few months I can honestly say I will never purchase a bag that isn't from peak design.
I am one of those shoppers who likes to do extensive research before purchasing just about anything. A couple of my friends have had their peak design backpacks for about three years and its amazing how well they have held up. Being a professional designer (and amateur photographer), I wanted a backpack that could withstand my travels and had overall smart design, which this backpack definitely does. The price is more than I would have liked to spend, but after receiving the product, the incredible quality makes it well-worth it.
Great idea for the design, but be aware that it is not suitable for long distance. Very uncomfortable once on your back. Back side of the bag is too straight and the shoulder straps are too thin. I used it for a 5 hours hiking (an easy one) and I had marks on my shoulders and pain during 24 hours.
That's a great bag overall, the comfort must be improved for the V3.
Use it everyday, fly often 150K+ miles a year, works perfectly for me. Holds Laptop, Camera, 4 lens, accessories and all my quick access travel needs. Thanks for a great product!
I came from a Northface bag that had plenty of internal storage and 2 front pockets. Owned that for 11 years. Finally decided to get a new bag and was worried about not having the front compartments and wasn't super sold on the compartment system of this bag but decided to give it a try. I LOVE IT! The compartments are super versatile and make grabbing exactly what I want quick and so much easier than digging around with the Northface. Won't ever go back!
