The Peak Design Everyday Backpack has been my daily carry now for 5 years and I love it! It really is my everyday backpack and goes with me to work, out hiking, when I walk down the road to buy groceries, as my carry-on on planes when I'm travelling - truly versatile. Typically I'll pack at least one (and often two) of my OM-System cameras and several lenses, and the internal dividers mean I can customize how much camera gear and how much other stuff I need each day. The weatherproofing is excellent (have had it out in torrential downpours and everything has been dry inside. Plenty of space for my Dell XPS 15 laptop, an iPad mini, plus documents. But the best things about this backpack for dedicated photographers are the side zipped pockets, meaning I can be out walking a crowded city or a remote mountain and access either of my two main cameras by just swinging the backpack around and unzipping the appropriate side pocket - brilliant stuff! On photo trips away I've really maxed out the amount of camera gear I've packed and that 20 liter capacity still manages - amazing!

I got this for myself for my birthday for my new Nikon Z8 and 600MM lens. At first I thought it’s never going to fit in the 20L until I started watching the help videos, I realized how much you can customize these bags. I haven’t had the heart to put it away yet because it’s so pretty!!!

Sturdy backpack (20L)

I like that this backpack fits perfectly under the seat in front of me on airplanes. I also like that the cameras don’t seem to move the tiniest bit, they feel very protected. I’m not 100% convinced by the shoulder straps though, they keep sliding off to the side and the chest strap is a bit fiddly imo, I’d have preferred a regular plastic clip. Bummer that you have to buy the waste strap separately, although I don’t think you need it for a 20l backpack, maybe for 30

Generally an improvement over V1

V2 backpack feels great and is more ergonomic thank V1, use of magnets increase usability and durability. The only thing that i consider a downgrade are the side pockets which are smaller and no longer totally separated from the main compartment.

Pretty good bag, but not perfect.

I got this bag several years ago, and use it ... every day of course. Mostly - it's holding out quite well, except for some abrasion where the bottom rubs against my lower back. The general layout is pretty convenient, especially for use as just a camera bag. My problem is when I want to carry a laptop, an A4 notebook and a camera. Putting the notebook in the main compartment doesn't enable me to put separators in there for the camera and lenses. If I don't carry the laptop, the folder can go into the laptop compartment. But not both. A bit of a bummer, which could probably be fixed in an updated version. How about it, PD guys?

Bought this backpack for Japan trip and it has good capacity but after an hour the straps can be uncomfortable. It has good form and a durable outer shell.
