I bought the Delta 2 Max about a month ago, when it was offered along with two free 110 watt portable solar panels. Right out of the box it was super easy to set up, and even on that cloudy day with one 110w panel connected, it was pulling in about 25w. Not much, I know, but it was still exciting! Realized pretty quickly I was going to need more panel capacity, so I ordered a 220w bi-facial. And then of course I would need more storage, so I ordered another battery! As it stands right now, when fully charged, the Max2 and the extra battery can run our main refrigerator, a 12v cooler (Iceco), and my complete computer setup (computer, four monitors, printer and scanner) for about a day and a half with no solar input whatsoever. We've been getting a lot of cloudy, rainy days, so solar input hasn't always been the greatest. On cloudy days with the 220 and two 110s in series, on average I'm pulling in about 150w for a max of 6 hours. On nice sunny days, I can max out at about 380 watts, with an average of about 330 for 6 or 7 hours. This is usually enough to keep all of the above running, but still draining the battery a bit. So...I see some bigger panels in my future - probably two 400W rigid panels. This will double my input capacity, allowing for a total recharge in my short window of sunlight. Note: we actually did lose power here for about 6 hours overnight one night when I only had about 30% capacity left in the batteries, and the refrigerator kept right on going, no problem! Charging with 110 is super-quick - usually 2 hours or so. Just for fun, I hooked up my son's gas-powered generator and charged it off of that unit's 110 - again with no problems. I'm trying to rely totally on solar now, so given the poor weather we're having, and until I can upgrade my input with two 400w rigid panels, I typically have to give it a full day and a half with nothing connected before I can hook up the refrig, cooler and computers again. Then run on batteries for a day and a half. etc. Overall, great product. Bought it with the intention of using in a small squaredrop camper I'm building, and it would of course handle that task with absolutely no problem. Might buy the second spare battery in the future, just to see how many regularly-running appliances I can switch over to solar on an ongoing basis. In the next few years, am planning to build a new off-grid-as-much-as-possible home, and will definitely looking to EcoFlow to power it!

The Ecoflow Delta2 Max is the answer to what I have been wishing for. It is relatively light, it can be used in the house, can be charged with solar panels and the power output is phenomenal. After going through having had an attack on our local power station and being without electric for 10 days, I now have a peace of mind going into hurricane season that I can power my refrigator and freezer plus a few other things.

Amazing Goldilocks Solar Generator

I've been researching solar generators for the past few months, almost had decided on an AC300 but wanted something a little easier to pack up in the car/Jeep to bring out camping, etc. EcoFlow released this just in time and at a fairly decent price. The API is cool albeit a little limited. I have a couple support tickets open for some minor bugs, but support has been responsive and the Facebook communities are great! I'm running my wave 2 off of this in my home office and have it almost entirely off-grid. The EcoFlow ecosystem just can't be beat. Once all of the minor bugs are worked out and the app updated I will definitely rate this 5 stars! More pics/data/info here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/VvumNz5XjU3cZPq46

Time to Ditch Gas and Go Solar with the Delta 2 Max!
Let’s do a quick rundown of the new kid on the block and compare it with its little brother, the Delta 2.
The Delta 2 Max is definitely much beefier than the Delta 2. The D2Max sits at 19.6 × 9.5 × 12 inches and weighs approximately 50 lbs. The Delta 2 on the other hand is 15.7 × 8.3 × 11.1 inches and weighs in at 27 lbs. Reading the dimensions may not seem like much of a difference but trust me, it is!
The D2Max sports a whopping 2,048Wh batt capacity! That is DOUBLE the capacity of its little brother, the Delta 2 at 1,024Wh. Of course, we are talking nothing but LFP with an estimated 3,000 cycles to 80% of capacity.
The D2Max also sports an add-on option where you can triple the capacity from 2kWh to 6kWh by adding two Smart Extra Batteries. Kick things off with a blistering 2048Wh base and move up to 4096Wh with a single extra battery. From there, max out at 6144Wh with a second extra battery! Major capacity upgrade!
One immediate noticeable difference (besides size), are the AC outlets. While both have six outlets, all of the D2Max's outlets are grounded outlets. With the Delta 2, only two are grounded. The D2Max provides up to 2,400W total (4,800W surge) AC while the Delta 2 sits at only 1,800W (2,700W surge). EcoFlow's proprietary X-Boost on the D2Max is 3,400W vs the Delta 2 at 2,200W.
USB ports remain the same between the two models, x2 USB-A and x2 USB-A Fast Charging. There are also x2 USB-C (100W) ports for a total of six USB ports. DC/Car Outlet and x2 DC5521 (barrel) outputs also remain the same.
On the input side, the D2 Max sports dual solar inputs (500W each/1,000W total) and a mind blowing 1,800W AC input. This is a game changer with a lightning fast estimated 43-minute charge time to 80% when combining both AC (1,800W) and a min of 600W solar input! Super-fast!
Going to save this for last... Charging at the Max X-Stream setting of 1,800W or any of the variable settings is WHISPER QUIET! This is going to blow you away! I cannot believe how quiet this thing is! The Delta 2 sounds like a jet ready for take-off. Ecoflow must have an Area 51 scientist on the design team. the D2Max is Aurora Stealth quiet! Either that or it was built by Ninjas... ;)
If you are looking for a home backup solution, be the envy of all the other overlanders in your weekend run to the mountains or just light up and power the playa at the next Burn, the Delta 2 Max is the power station you have been looking for!
Way to go EcoFlow, you knocked this one out of the park!
The standby power consumption is very disappointing. Just having the DC on with no load apparently takes 10w! Otherwise I like the product.

Delta 2 Max Pressed Into Service Unexpectedly

I had just received my Delta 2 Max (D2M) a week before we had an unexpected and unexplained power outage. It was right at dinner time as food was going into the oven. Fortunately I had the D2M at the ready and routed a 20-amp power cord from the D2M to my transfer switch. We were able to run the 1700 watt toaster oven for approximately 45 minutes along with lights, computer, a refrigerator, and a freezer. This drained the battery in the D2M to about 30%. I had also recently purchased the EcoFlow Dual Fuel Smart Generator (DFSG) and hooked it up to the D2M to give it a test, too. It came on right at the 30% mark I had set in the EcoFlow app. It took about an hour to charge the battery with propane. The generator then shut itself off automatically when the battery was fully charged. Dinner was served and power eventually came back on a few hours later. Both the D2M and the DFSG performed as expected with no problems. I highly recommend this set up. Before I would have to run my gasoline generator continuously during an outage. Even though it has an ECO mode, it would still burn 3-4 gallons per day. With the DFSG and a Smart Extra Battery (SEB) I will likely only need to run the generator 2-3 hours per day, and that can be reduced with solar panels. NOTE: I prepared for this EcoFlow setup by drilling a hole in my exterior wall. This allows me to keep the D2M and SEB inside but connect them to the generator, transfer switch, and solar panels outside. The PVC conduit has caps when not in use.

Delta 2 Max Does What I Want it to Do

I haven’t had the delta 2 Max for very long so my review won’t be as in-depth as I would normally do. I bought this unit to run my 1000w microwave during nighttime (when my household solar is not active) plus as a battery backup in case of power outages. It runs the microwave with ease and I have no doubt it will run my pellet stove for quite some time if needed. I’ve charged it both off household electricity and solar panels with no issues.
My one real complaint is, being this large of a unit, I would think that most people will use it for AC power (I could be wrong). But, the main power button, as well as the screen are on the opposite end from the AC and charging sides. However, if you are charging a phone, hey, you can watch the wattages output, the time it can hold at the power drawn and other info from that same end. It’s a minor quibble, but irritates me.
Another irritation (and they all seems to do it), is to have a black package with dark gray writing. I can’t see that with a flashlight and readers. If there were more of a contrast between the colors, I’d have a fighting chance. But again, all 3 of my battery stations, from 3 different makers, are like that.
I rated as 4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't had this long and they are sort of expensive. I haven't found any flaws yet.

This Delta 2 Max is all you need for all those road trips or at home for any electrical emergency. I am really impressed with this product, but you will say that it is very expensive, and yes it is expensive but when you have it you will say that it is worth it because it is very efficient and durable that it comes with a 5-year warranty, just enough to get more for your money, thanks
