Horrible spin capabilities

Works ok but has a horrible time spinning out king comforters or mattress pads . If you want a washer you need to babysit all the time this is is it.

We want to help out with your washer and the spin cycle during heavier loads. The first thing we suggest inspecting is if the washer is completely level to the ground. Being on an uneven surface can cause excess movement and balance compensation.

It is also important to sort the load optimally, we recommend not mixing heavy items with lighter items.

Ventilation does not work and is impractical .

Venting feature is stupid and useless. Does not keep inner cylinder odor free at all. Have to leave door open all the time when not in use to keep it from the musty and moldy odors that are pervasive when this is not done. Going to have to buy a wash bar for it. Ridiculous. This is not even the model that I wanted in the first place. No more GE laundry machines for me... This thing is 2 months old.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend cleaning the wash tub regularly to avoid any odors in your front-load washer. Dry around the washer door opening, flexible gasket (including attached hoses) and door glass. These areas should always be clean to ensure a watertight seal. You will notice if you regularly use the ULTRAFRESH VENT System that this will not be required as often. It is however recommended to rinse the washer at least once per month with 1 cup of bleach (or other commercially available product manufactured for this purpose, such as Tide® Washing Machine Cleaner) poured directly into the basket without clothes and using the Self Clean Cycle.

DO NOT BUY

My washer is 1.5 years old. So far we have had to replace the light, the door lock and 2 entire control panels. Just broke again. Waiting for repairman (we did purchase extended warranty through appliance store) for 3rd time and laundry piling. Of course GE 1yr warranty is up, they are making lemons.

Do not buy!

This washer cannot get balanced. Even with light load, it is very unstable and shakes terribly.

We would like to help and provide some guidance. To help with keeping your washer balanced, we suggest increasing the load size if washing a small load containing heavy and light items. Additionally, make sure you are not overloading the unit. The dry weight of the load should be less than 16 lbs. Never had any issues & excellent features

I purchased this model 5+ years ago (at lease the same size/features) and I've had zero mechanical issues with it and absolutely love it and buying again for my new home if I don't take these with me. I do spend time throughly cleaning it when the smart dispense is empty but this chore is well worth the features in my opinion. And I love the wifi reminders. I wish they would offer more color choices.

Best washer ever! It really cleans great! My clothes have seriously never been this clean. The cycles are quick and efficient. And there are so many options for washing I can’t wait to try them all. I want to make things dirty just so I can use it again. The capacity is huge and I’ve done more loads in less time than I thought possible. The vent cycle is about 1 minute and it dries out the machine so I don’t have to leave the door open. It has an anti-bacteria ring thing that also keeps mold and smells down. The only problem (maybe not a problem) is that sometimes my detergent pods get partially melted and stuck in the ring along with some dirt and debris. But wait. There’s more! It has a cleaning cycle that will get rid of all that. Once I use all my pods I will use the automatic detergent dispenser. Anyway, I’m off to make more dirty laundry and write a review for the dryer. I can’t believe how sexy they look together…
