So disappointing!!

So disappointed in this! The automatic dispenser didn’t work so we received a new one. Same issue with new one…dispenser always says Low or Empty. Clothes come out with lint all over them. Strings on clothes get stuck in the bottom barrel. Will never purchase another GE washer!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We want to help you with your clothes coming out with lint and your washer dispenser not working properly. We recommend making sure you are loading your items evenly and loosely around the outside of the basket, filling in towards the center on larger loads. Additionally, make sure that you use high efficiency liquid detergent and select a warmer water temperature.

This feature cleans even the most heavily soiled items with a single cycle that adds detergent, agitates, soaks, drains the dirty water and repeats the wash process with clean water and fresh detergent. If I could give it a 0 star I would! It never stays level, always off balance. It shakes and rocks back and forth and drum hits the sides of the unit. I’ve had it looked at several times and they tell me to either add more clothes or not put as many in. I’ve tried several different settings, spins, different clothing and it does is almost every single time. I have to stop it mid cycle and re-arrange the items and hope it spins the out!

So far this washer has been amazing. I cannot get over how large the tub is. You look in and it doesn’t look that big, but then you start adding clothes and keep adding and you still have plenty of room. I love the smart dispense, no more pre-measuring the detergent prior to each load, the only bad thing is it’s hard to determine when it’s actually full. I love all of the different wash features and on this one I can select a cycle and then make adjustments to that cycle. My previous washer if I selected one of the cycles, most of them I couldn’t make any small changes to them. I read a lot of reviews where people complained about the water fill level. I was curious so I watched the washer fill up just to see what everyone was talking about. I could see where someone would like more water but the amount of water is enough for it to be efficient at washing the clothes, but it does have a feature that allows you to add more water. I also read a lot and I mean a lot of reviews about the washer always being out of balance. I was almost hesitant to purchase it for that reason. In the time that I have had this washer I have not experienced any issues with balance. I also read a lot of reviews about the noise level. It is a little bit noisier than my old front load (before the spin cycle), but it is not a noticeable noise difference. Even with the bad reviews I decided to take a chance because it had all the features that I wanted, plus some extras and so far I have absolutely been pleased with this washer including the Wi-Fi feature. I will state we purchased the set directly from GE, it was a little cheaper through GE and we had the option of installation. We purchased our previous set through a big box store and I don’t think they take their time when unloading appliances and are rough with them, because even in boxes we still received them with dents in the side of them. By going through GE we finally have scratch and dent free appliances, which I think will add to its longevity.
This washer is huge. Love being able to do one load instead of two. Also, like not having to add detergent each time I do a load. The only con is it gets off balance easy

The Adaptive SmartDispense feature that this washer offers contributes to saving you time as well because the dispenser holds enough detergent for up to 32 loads. In conjunction with the Adaptive SmartDispense feature, you can scan the barcode on the detergent bottle with our SmartHQ™ app and the washer will dispense the right amount based on the type of detergent. For help with the out of balance occurrences, it’s extremely important that the washer is properly leveled and all 4 leveling legs are firmly on an even floor space. This will help to reduce out of balance occurrences during the cycle. Additionally, it’s important that the tub is loaded evenly, with the weight of the load equally distributed. Unbalanced loads can cause out of balance occurrences. If there was one down side is that during install the legs were hard to adjust and get machine perfectly level but after a few attempts the machine is fully leveled finally ready for use.
It’s too small and it doesn’t have a light inside as my old one did. I ask for a model like the one I had and they said this was it but it’s too small and doesn’t hold as much, is loud and moves a lot
