This ASUS router was easy to set up and is a huge improvement over my previous router. Signal is strong and corrected many of the connection problems I previously had in the house.

Looks stylish but drops wifi frequently. Poor control interface in the Android app. Overall unreliable when used for work. I returned this product in favor of a cable modem/router combo from another manufacturer

The APP CAN'T find the router. This should happen automatically, but it is not happening.Support is a joke.

We do understand your disappointment with the quality of your recent customer service experience and the inconvenience this may have caused if the ASUS application will not find the router automatically. To resolve this issue, ensure your phone is connected to your home Wi-Fi network, try doing a power cycle by unplugging the router, wait for about a minute, then plug it back in. If the problem persists, try pressing the reset button on the back of the router for 5-10 seconds, then release, and update the router's firmware if outdated. The most current firmware is posted at: https://www.asus.com/us/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-wifi-routers/rt-ax1800s/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=RT-AX1800S. Lastly, reinstall the application. Additionally, check if this router's security credentials matches with your ISP's modem/gateway security information.
