[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compact design, very fast memory, fingerprint security is essential!!!! Samsung really nailed external storage with fingerprint security.
Improvement suggestions: 1) stronger two-factor authentification security. Fingerprint causes pop up on phone to match fingerprint. 2) even smaller design. I think two terabyte is The Sweet spot, the size of a thumb drive with fingerprint would be nice 3) automatic backup from AND to phone. I should be able to partition a secure portion of the drive for automatic phone backup. Every time I plug in the phone it should only transfer new files and newer revisions of the same files not an entire transfer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A sonographer's go-to portable ssd

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a first-year grad sonographer dealing with large abdominal and vascular imaging files, and given that I built my gaming PC with high end parts, fast and reliable storage is critical for my workflow and even for gaming. The Samsung T9 4TB portable SSD has proven to be an excellent addition to my setup.
Right out of the box, the T9 feels incredibly robust. The textured, rubberized exterior gives it a reassuring grip and seems like it could definitely handle the occasional bump or drop that comes with being a portable device. It's surprisingly compact for a 4TB drive, easily fitting into my bag alongside my laptop for on-the-go data transfer.
In terms of performance, this drive really shines. When connected to a compatible USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port, the speeds are phenomenal. I've consistently seen transfers that are remarkably fast, making quick work of moving large ultrasound datasets. This is a game-changer when I need to quickly back up patient studies or transfer files for review. For my gaming setup, I've even used it to store some larger titles, and the loading times are impressively quick, almost indistinguishable from my internal NVMe drives. It keeps up without any noticeable slowdown, even during extended transfer sessions, which suggests good thermal management.
The ease of use is also a major plus. It's plug-and-play, working seamlessly with my Windows PC. The included cables, both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A, ensure compatibility with a variety of devices, which is handy. Overall, the hands-on experience with the Samsung T9 4TB has been nothing short of impressive – it’s a powerful, durable, and genuinely portable storage solution that has significantly streamlined my digital life, both professionally and for my personal computing needs.

Fast, protective rubber coating, USB or USB-V C

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the cream of the crop when it comes to SSD! Everything I own is Samsung as in a big fan of their products. This ssd is extremely fast. I was able to move around about 500gb worth of files in seconds. It's the fastest and best SSD I've ever owned and I will not ever go to another brand again.

Dont forget the Hest Sink.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product requires a heat sink. Nowhere in the instruxctions or packaging does it mention anything about needing a heat sink. Expensive mistake on my part. I bought a replacement and installed with the Artic heat sink and iv had no issues at all great load speeds.
