no connecrion to computer after owning 5 months

I bought the SSD T9 2TB drive over the summer of 2025. Worked fine backing up my photo files. Today, December 12th, I tried to access the hard drive. No luck. The little blue light on the drive stayed lit for 5 seconds then went off. Can't access this drive on any computer.
Be warned! This hard drive is garbage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hardware failure

Died after less than 3 months. First random write errors then completely unreadable. Samsung Magician just spun and spun trying to read it. Rapidly flashing blue light when connected. It's toast. Going to call support on Monday. 5 year warranty so should be an easy swap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just got it. Overall good. The temperatures are ok but not sure how would it be with when at full speed. Unfortunately, most USB drives don't have the 2x2 variant. Instead of using Thunderbolt 3 or 4 that is pretty popular, they went with a slower option that is not very available. Good thing is, they seem pretty reliable though.

Favorite PC Accessory!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Portable SSD T9 by Samsung became my favorite PC accessory as soon as I started using it. I do a lot of File Transferring, I own quite a bit of SSD Portables, some good some okay, until the T9 has made all the rest obsolete. (Terminated!) The speeds I get from the T9 is comparable to the speed of light! okay J/K, The T9 is a bit faster..
Seriously, this is a great portable for backing up files quickly, safely, and easy. No problems at all. I run the T9 through the Type C cable straight to the laptop with ease. I run two T7's Portables, Type-C flash Drive along with the T9 on a USB Hub to my laptop, through a new and old PC laptop, while multitasking running Apps, backing up files and I still see no hiccups or slower transfer speeds from the T9. The actual physical hardware of the T9 feels tough and well made in your hand, so accidental drops should be no problem at all.
My only complaint is, I wish I ordered more than one! Which is what I'm about to do, a Portable SSD T9 4TB just for gaming!
Thank You Samsung for raising the bar again!
