I'm sorry that your experience fell short of expectations. It sounds like you are having trouble getting your Nikon Z8 to recognize the T9 SSD as an external capture device. Unfortunately, the Nikon Z8 does not support direct recording to an external SSD via USB. The camera's USB-C port is primarily for data transfer and power delivery, not for direct recording.
