Compact device with fast data transfer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This T9 ssd is fast and small enough to fit in my pocket. Offloading iCloud and Iphone storage to Backing up here. When connected with original c type cable, data transfers fast. So far liking it. I used for like 15+ mins and did nt see device getting hot or hung! Works great with my windows too.

According to Samsung, it includes a load, edit, and transfer with sustained read and write speed of up to 2,000 MB/s. The Samsung T9 includes a new Dynamic Thermal Guard which provides an advanced solution and controls of heat to keep the T9 at ideal temperatures, even under heavy use during gaming or heavy file transfer. It also features new up-to-date Magician Software, that ensures your T9 SSD always has its latest firmware, extra encryption, and continual monitoring of the drive’s health to ensure peak performance.
The T9 SSD provides a great weight for the drive. It comes in around 4.3 ounces, on the high side, for a small portable SSD, but a welcome one. I enjoy the weight of T9 and provides an outstanding balance in your hand. Based on the design, features, speed, performance, and weight, I would recommend the Samsung T9 SSD to everyone. I believe it has been the best SSD that I have tested in a while.

Lightweight yet sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first received this SSD, I was immediately impressed with how nice it felt. I appreciated the textured silicone outer case. The texture and grooves provide a nice grip while also providing some protection to the device. The device is compact and portable, easily held in the hand and can fit into your pocket/bags and feels light. Though lightweight, the construction and metal of the SSD feels sturdy and well designed (ports are not flimsy, nothing rattling around, etc).
Now, onto the performance of the T9 SSD. The data transfer rate is fast, and does great for what I use it for (e.g., transferring big media files like movies in and out of it). I like the extra security features like the option to password protect your files. I also appreciated how both USB-C to USB and USB-C to USB-C cords are conveniently provided, and I appreciated that they weren't too long/bulky.
Overall, this is a thoughtfully designed device that I'd recommend for backing up your files or for transporting your files.

Able to play new games!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just gotten my Samsung SSD and gotta say that It is a great add to my collection. I tested it with Starfield (Sadly startfield doesnt have a test bench) but When playing starfield on an HDD it was super laggy compared to it loaded on this sdd!

Fast SSD and Quite Portable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got the new Samsung T9 Portable 1TB SSD drive. The drive is unexpectedly small and quite attractive with a rubber-like covering. I’m very pleased that the drive comes with both USB-A and USB-C cords for attaching to most any type of device.
The drive is connected via USB-C to my Mac Studio computer. The Mac OS instantly recognized the drive and allowed me to format it for my Mac (Mac OS Extended Journaled). I tested the speed with a disk speed test utility, which reported 829.8 MB/s (write) and 890.8 MB/s (read). The speed is approximately 11X faster than my other USB external drives.
I am struggling with the included Samsung PSSD utility. The app always tells me that the drive is not connected although my Mac sees it and allows me to use it. I’ve tried all of the Samsung troubleshooting suggestions for Mac OS, but it still remains unusable. That really makes no difference for me to use it.
Nevertheless, I like everything about the Samsung T9 Portable 1TB SSD drive. It’s a great addition to my system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received the product, I knew exactly how to test it. I'm a Streamer, so I transferred almost 500gb of video files. My computer took about half an hour to transfer the files. It's about the size of a credit card. My only issue is that the matte finish is not made for households with pets. Technically speaking, it's solid. I love it, and fully recommend it
