Blazing Fast Portable Storage!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in the market for storage for my photo library and this Samsung T9 really did the trick!! I have 3 children and a puppy, so you can imagine we take tons and tons of photos and videos! This Drive is SO fast! I was able to transfer a 5GB file from my MAC to this in about 20 seconds.
The design of the device is also quite nice. It's small and wrapped in a rubber skin that feels quite rugged. I can see this as a device that I can easily and confidently carry with me when I travel as well.
The software was a bit wonky at first(could be. that I have a MAC). It took me a few reboots to get the drive to be recognized by the software. Although this doesn't affect using the device, it was just something that was odd compared to my normal Samsung experience.
Overall, great device, a solid build and SUPER FAST!! I look forward to larger storage versions available in the future to continue to move my photo library.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazingly fast, rugged, SSD.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently was able to try out the Samsung T9 Portable SSD. First and foremost the design is rugged yet elegant, and very tiny. Super portable and easy to take with you. Secondly, the speed is pretty impressive, however the drive does not support Thunderbolt (3/4), but rather USB 3.2 gen 2x2. In my testing on an M1 Pro MacBook Pro (Mac does not support 3.2 gen 2x2) I was able to achieve transfer speeds of 850MB/s to 1400MB/s. Certainly shy of the 2000MB/s, but as expected without the proper support on Mac. If you are a Mac user and in the market for an ultra-portable, SSD - I would probably look for the T7 as that speed is achievable on Mac, and the pricing is certainly better. However if you just like the design, or have devices capable of USB 3.2 g 2x2 then I also have no issue recommending this device either.

Powerful Pocket Performance SSD

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Portable SSD T9 is a nice-looking external solid-state drive (SSD) that was created for gamers and content creators in mind. It includes a load, edit, and transfer with sustained read and write speed of up to 2,000 MB/s according to Samsung. The Samsung T9 includes a new Dynamic Thermal Guard which provides an advanced solution and controls of heat to keep the T9 at ideal temperatures, even under heavy use during gaming or heavy file transfer. It also features new up-to-date Magician Software, that ensures your T9 SSD always has its latest firmware, extra encryption, and continual monitoring of the drive’s health to ensure peak performance.
During my testing, I used a 2018 computer with 64GB RAM and tested it against my previous generation Samsung T7. I found the T9, to get about 15% faster on the write speed and about 25%. That to me is a significant improvement over the previous generation.
Additionally, one of the other things you will notice about this drive is the weight of the drive. T9 SSD comes in around 4.3 ounces, which is the highest among all Samsung’s SSD lines. However, I enjoy the weight of the T9 SSD. It provides the correct balance to the T9 SSD.
In conclusion, the design, features, speed, performance, and weight of the Samsung T9 SSD make this SSD one of the best that I have tested. I would recommend this SSD to anyone. If you can pick one up at a great price, you will not be disappointed in its performance. Ensure you have a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 cable when using the T9 and a compatible host to peak performance.

Super Fast Storage for Visual Effects

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was previously using a Samsung T7 Shield drive for all of my Visual Effects work I do in After Effects. The T7 is great but I was running out of storage space and needed another drive. Luckily the Samsung T9 SSD 1tb just released and what an amazing upgrade. I ran the Black Magic drive speed test on both my T7 and T9 and the T9 was significantly faster. Moving large files to drive was super quick and seamless.
The T9 has a very nice feel to it. It has a rubbery texture so there is some grip to it which is what you want on a portable drive. It came with both a USB A to C and USB C to C cable. This is convenient since I have a new MacBook Pro which has no USB A input, so I had the options for cables.
I would highly recommend this drive for anyone looking for some external storage. Samsung drives are known to be very reliable and I feel pretty safe with having this drive hold my hours of hard work and not worry about losing it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been a fan of Samsung portable hard drives. I own the T5 and T7, and I recently got my hands on the T9. It's seriously fast! To test it out, I copied an 8 GB file, and the T5 and T7 took about 26 seconds, but the T9 did it in just 24 seconds. It might not sound like a big deal, but those 2 seconds show that Samsung keeps improving their drives, which is cool because the older ones were already great.
Using the T9 is a breeze – just plug it in, and you're good to go. It also looks awesome with that rubbery texture that not only feels great in your hand but also gives you a good grip. I can't stop holding it; it's just that nice.
And, it's not just about looks and speed; it's got your data's back. The password protection is a solid security feature, and the drive feels both light and sturdy. You can tell it's built to take a little beating.
Honestly, I'm pretty excited about what Samsung has in store with the T11.

Even if you drop it from way up high, it's built tough enough to handle it. Plus, it keeps your files super safe from people.
You can use it with almost any device you've got, like your laptop, phone, and more. It also works with Windows, Mac, and Android systems.
The Samsung Portable SSD T9 is perfect if you want something that works really fast, is tough, and keeps your stuff safe. It might work a bit differently depending on what you use it with, but it's definitely worth checking out.

It also gives you the ease and use of plug and play to extend your storage at a given moment. My experience with this device is amazing. I feel FANCY!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the Samsung T9 Portable SSD 1TB and out of the box it feels FANCY! Love the texture of the drive. The rubber like surface does attract a lot of lint however. The speed to transfer files is great and just what I would expect from USB-C. The small pocket size is perfect for me to toss in a camera bag or laptop bag without adding extra weight. I also am happy with the TWO included cords, just incase I'm working with a device that does or doesn't have a USB-C connection.
