Quiet, functional, and attractive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had it for two weeks now. I like many of the features and it is mostly very quiet. The adjustable shelves are essential for organizing the contents. The through-the-door water and ice delivery work well, and the control panel allows us to customize settings and automatically measure out water as it is dispensing. The fingerprint-proof finish is attractive. We have always had side-by-side refrigerator/freezers before this one. I'm not sure that the French door with bottom freezer is better, but it is the most popular now, so we bought this model because it will help sell our house. We have two problems with this particular refrigerator. 1. The fill valve for the icemaker makes a loud buzzing noise while refilling the ice tray. 2. The ice bin seems to be stuck, so we can't remove it.
Both of these issues have been reported to Whirlpool, and they have already assigned a repair service to come out under their warranty. So, at least they are responsive to problems.

Nice features and looks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had trouble with the water dispenser dripping quite a bit of water after each use but after 7 days, it has quit. Overall, it's a very nice looking unit both inside and out and we are very pleased with it. But it is obvious that "they aren't made like they used to be". And trying to get someone in Whirlpool Service is frustrating to say the least. Previous Whirlpool french door refrigerator we had lasted 15 yrs with no major problems. Don't expect this one to do the same.

Needs new handle

Ice build up in freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m unhappy with the refrigerator. After only 3 days the freezer light switch was frozen which meant the light would not light. Also the ledge in front of the freezer gasket on the top of the freezer door gets ice build up on it and frost builds up on the light in the freezer.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very disappointed for a couple reasons. The noise of the motor is very obvious when you are in the kitchen. Second, when a door is left open it takes longer than normal for the alert to be activated. Most of all you have to be right by the refrigerator to hear the alert. Way too low. And lastly, the closing of the left door of the refrigerator. You have to close it with some force before it actually closes.
