Disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am replacing my side-by-side model with the same size with the same capacity. The refrigerator portion is poorly designed. I was unable to fit everything from my previous fridge in the top part. The shelf heights are too short for most condiments, which required the use of the fridge/freezer portion. This area could use a better design also. It has 1 pull out shelf which is nice, but having 2 drawer doesn’t allow for optimal product storage, but at least the door can hold some condiments. It would be nice to have an option to replace the drawers with more pull out shelves. The same is true for the freezer part. 2 of the 3 drawers require both doors to be opened to access the contents. No bueno.
The door displace has a disappointing responsiveness. The metered water dispenser often takes several attempts to get it to operate. It is nice that the opening will fit an Owala water bottle. The temperature for the freezer, fridge, and freezer/fridge are always on display and can be inadvertently changed with unintentional contact with the pad. The temperature values are always on display. There is no need for this.
I bought this model without seeing it in person, which was a mistake. I would have returned it if I hadn’t already sold my old one. I would not recommend this or purchase this again.

Limitations on storage but still good refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its quiet when running. The counter depth is really nice, gives us a little extra space. Really love the flexibility of changing the bottom to be freezer or refrigerator. The top part, however, has some storage issues. Tall items are difficult to fit if you plan on using all the shelves provided. You'll have good availability to store gallon jugs on the door, though. In door ice and water work well. All-in-all this refrigerator does exactly what promised.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fridge has problems keeping a steady temp. The main fridge stays steady but the freezer and the fridge/freezer compartment wont keep a steady temp.
Also when the ice maker needs water to make ice it is extremely loud.

Is the cooling function on?
If the Refrigerator isn't cooling, check if it's turned on. Power outages, surges, or cleaning can accidentally turn it off. Are controls set correctly?
The factory preset to "mid setting" should suffice. Adjustments should be made in small increments, waiting 24 hours between changes. Higher setting = colder; lower setting = less cold. Consult your Owner's Manual for model-specific control details.
Are the air vents blocked?
Proper airflow between the freezer and refrigerator is essential. Locate vents in both compartments and ensure they are not blocked by items, which can cause temperature and moisture issues. Avoid placing sensitive items (e.g., eggs, liquids) directly in the cold airflow path. For more information, see How to Check the Air Vents for Blockage- Ensuring Proper Air Flow.
Have the doors been opened often?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t even have it for a week and the water pipe froze. So , no drinking water until the parts come in. The warranty department decided that it wasn’t going to be replaced. It was going to be repaired and since I have a flight of stairs to my kitchen, I did not want one to go down and want to come back up. We already had enough wall damage. I know these things happen so patience is a virtue. It’ll be fixed and it’ll be perfect. but it is the best set up of a refrigerator. I absolutely do love it.

Very Poor Design and Functionality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this refrigerator with my new home earlier this year, and it has been a constant frustration. The right freezer door repeatedly locks after opening and requires excessive force to reopen. A technician even told me that other Whirlpool techs consider this “normal,” which is unacceptable. When I reached back out to Whirlpool for a replacement or to speak with someone higher up, they dismissed my concerns entirely.
The interior layout is also extremely limiting. You essentially have to choose between storing wine bottles or basic large items like milk, juice, or water. Even everyday items like maple syrup or Parmesan only fit in awkward spots. It has changed how I shop because I have to plan carefully just to make groceries fit.
If you have a larger family or children, this refrigerator is absolutely not a practical choice. I would not recommend it.

As others have said the shelves are a little odd and you cannot stand things up. Also the water dispenser sprays back towards the refrigerator and makes it sort of difficult to fill cups
