The stove is less than a year old. Several months ago, a back burner sparked and smoke came out. A repairman replaced a switch, and all was well for a few months. Then a front burner would not boil water. Kept it on at high for an hour without even a simmer. Repairman came again, and it worked for several weeks .Then the two front burners, including the one that had just been repaired would not boil water. Since I bought the range, I have had 4 burner problems. I can only guess that this particular range is a lemon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove is not intuitive. It is poorly designed. It looked good but the first thang is pieces started falling off Literally. The top operation area around the edges just flaked off with gentle wiping. So far Whirlpool has been unresponsive and It has taken over 30 days just to get someone scheduled to come look at its Also the oven gasket is loos and I have barely used the oven. I would not buy it again and would be very careful about anything at whirlpool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The oven seems energy wasteful to me. It generates so much heat when I use it, and continues to throw off heat after baking. I fear it is not well insulated. The rapid pre-heat feature is not rapid; it’s no better than my 20 year old discarded stove. I can’t find information to distinguish the functions bake from air bake.

Stove does not allow hard boil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this range back in February but didn’t move in to our house until August. The oven works fine, but the stovetop’s design is very frustrating. The burners turn off and on “to protect the glass top” while you’re cooking. It only gets to a simmer or very low boil, but it never comes to a hard boil. I had 3 burners on high for an hour, and they never came to a full boil and the “boil” would lessen even more when the burners would toggle off. I like making things like jams and jellies, and you need a full rolling boil for several minutes, which I can’t do with this stove. So I’m going to have to buy separate single camping-type burners to set by my new stove if I want to boil something. I would not recommend this stove to anyone.
