Energy efficient and quality cooking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit hesitant about an electric stove as I have always cooked on gas but the switch was actually really easy. The stove itself looks beautiful and it cooks evenly which was my main concern. The multiple features for the oven including the air fry technology are great! I was able to actually get rid of our air fryer and free up counter space. I’m overall very happy with the stove.

Nice design but could use higher contrast markings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this stove about a month. When I was unpacking it, I found one of the weights laying in the bottom of the box (I have no idea why a stove needs two weights mounted on the back). Using larger screws, I was able to reattach the one weight and replace the stripped screw on the other one. It seems there is no standard for “slide in” ranges since my old range required a 2” spacer at the back and the Whirlpool doesn’t so it sticks out into the kitchen too far. I’m working on having the spacer removed so the range fits better.
Everything seems to function properly and I’m pleased with the information screen and the ease of setting the oven (once you learn all the entry sequences). The owners manual is very limited in providing information on using all the features. I don’t like using the internet to get the information I need. I wish the printing was both larger and higher contrast. Since the main panel is not backlit, it’s always necessary to have enough light to be able to read the display and dials.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed -- Would Not Buy Again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been cooking on this stove for two weeks and have two major complaints. The burners absolutely do not get as hot as the 13-year-old Samsung I replaced. I make tea everyday. On the new Whirlpool, it takes 13 minutes to bring the same amount of water in the same pan to a boiling point as compared to the old Samsung that took 7 minutes. Also the "wipe clean" cooktop (that cost more) is a joke. The cleaning instructions say to use water only and highly discourages any kind of detergent use. Water alone absolutely does not clean the stovetop. I'm very disappointed in this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Currently afraid of my new range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our range is slightly over a month old. The other night one of the stove knobs sparked, smoked and made a very loud bang as I turned it on. It scared me to death. Upon further inspection, we detected a scorch mark further up the knob panel, on both the panel and the oven door. The warranty department has been very nice and helped set up a service appointment, but quite frankly, I am now afraid of my brand new range. It is sitting unplugged and pulled out from the wall awaiting our service appointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible stove!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is two months old and the touch pad went out! I cannot get a replacement part for two weeks. The top burners work, but the oven doesn't . Now the light is on saying the cooktop is on when it is not. I am not happy with this purchase.
