A value-priced brick of a phone, does what you need--except if you go outside the US. Tracfone doesn't allow its phones to call except within US borders. It's big and won't fit into a normal front pants pocket. But all else works well. Battery life is way better than an iPhone.

Transfer from my old Tracfone acct to the new one was relatively easy; phone data was accurate. I was surprised however that the box didn't contain the wall plug, only the cord. And it was a little confusing if the SIM card was actually included or not, turned out it was.
