I hate this thing. I can't help it. It's enormous, and it's extremely cheap plastic. It's so long that when I turn it sideways to text, the keyboard has to be cut in two for my thumbs to be able to reach the middle of the keyboard, and even being split it's still a long reach.
I had a Galaxy J7 Sky Pro and I thought IT was big and clumsy, compared to my Galaxy S3. But this thing is an absolute beast. The J7 is so much nicer in both size and quality of housing. I only "upgraded" because its Android version had become completely outdated.
This phone takes very nice photos, I'll say that, but I can't speak to anything else. The other smartphones I've had had a physical Home button, but this one is on the touchscreen. That makes little sense. To wake up the screen you have to press a side button, and reaching it without dropping the phone is very awkward.
I don't need a powerful processor and things like that for the minimal things that I do on a phone, so I don't know if you'd be happy with its performance or not. I can't speak to its technology. Just be prepared to need a new purse and to fumble and drop it a lot if you have smaller hands! I'm still not used to it after several weeks.
I’m mostly happy with this phone, which I bought to replace an earlier Samsung Galaxy model that lacked enough memory to handle my needs after several years and was showing signs of needing anew battery. My only complaint so far is that the main function button is part of the screen display rather than a separate button on the phone case itself. It’s too easy to hit the button accidentally while texting, thus closing the texting app before I finish composing my text.
Nice phone. Too many options and preloaded icons for me. Then I do not always understand all the application choices. For an electronic geek is probably great. Slowly learning to get around easier.
With my previous phone I was able to set up different notification sounds for different apps. This phone only allowed one tone for all apps. Also, I could not assign different ringtones to different contacts
