Truly the EVERYDAY Backpack
on December 30, 2019

Been wanting to buy peak design backpack for a long time now, initially, my plan was to buy the v1 because it's on sale but little did I know the awesome guys from peak design introduces the v2 and I see practical features that they added so I decided to buy the version 2.
It's been almost a month that I've been using the backpack and I must say that it really does the job for me I can carry most of my gears for Event Shoots, Out of town, or even for usual day meetings I can still use it because it can be fashionable enough for a smart casual attire.
The capacity and firmness of the partitions a very well built it can hold my heaviest lens which is the Fujifilm 50-140mm even it sits on the middle section
Expansion of the top part of the bag is what I really love the most I can fit 3-5 additional clothes
The only improvement for this backpack I think would be an additional padding/foam for added protection especially when you need to put gadgets on the bottom part.

I recently got a Sony RX10 which I would like to have with me most of the time. When a friend showed me his PD everyday backpack, I figured that this would be the right bag to carry my computer and camera and all the other things I need every day. This turned out to be true. I am sure that I have not yet optimized the use of my new backpack for travel, but so far I love it. Different from other customers, I find the straps comfortable even when the backpack is heavy. I am actually glad that they are not more heavily padded. With the curved shape, they fit a woman's frame well. The magnets are awesome. I can finally take my backpack off while on the subway without someone stepping on the straps. I also appreciate that my water bottle doesn't fall out of the side pockets (a problem I encountered with my old backpack). Oh, and the sleek design still fits my 15-inch computer without making the bag bulky. Finally, this backpack is very good-looking and really substitutes for a briefcase. As to durability, we'll see. The only thing I am missing a little is a small outer zipper pocket that would give me quick access to my phone and perhaps some tissues.

v2 Everyday Backpack - Almost Perfect
on December 31, 2019

First off - I received my bag and it had a bad zipper on one of the side entrance pockets. Peak overnighted a new bag right away without question. Fantastic customer service.
I am moving from a 35L Patagonia backpack but the Peak bag has way more usable space. The fact that I can get in from either side makes every square inch of this bag useable. The dividers are amazing and further the functionality. There are pockets and storage for everything you'll need for everyday carry and short trips.
The only feature request I have is for a pouch that could velcro into the top section under the front latch. I tend to stash a ton of stuff that I need to get to quickly and small things can fall into the main part of the bag because of the small gaps on either side of the dividers. Small thing and far from a deal breaker.
Best backpack ever.

The Best Bag Yet...

I hate writing reviews but this is the best backpack for camera gear that I have found. Having multiple cameras I bought over half a dozen backpacks and none are as good as the Peak Design one. I have the smaller pack which fits my camera with lens, flash, additional battery, an extra lens and a Magmod bulb... plus a few other nik-naks... If yu can afford it, as it is a bit pricey, go for it...

Fantastic Design

Previous to the Everyday BP I only owned the Peak Design camera strap (which is awesome btw). This bag is awesome and you can tell it was very well thought out. There are connection points and tie downs every where you could want them. I watched a lot of YouTube reviews prior to my purchase and was skeptical that I would fit all of my gear in the 30L which had previously been spread across two smaller bags from Case Logic. It all fits and I can even put my MacBook and iPad Pro in it. I ended up moving up the bottom shelf and making the bottom of the bag the lowest level. With 4 sections including the top I can fit my Mavic 2 Pro, controller, 3 batteries, ND filters, 4-bay battery charger, Sony A7III with a 24-75mm lens, a 17-24 lens, and a telephoto 70-200 lens along with an A7 2-bay battery charger all in the main body of the bag. I have other batteries, step rings, etc in the side flaps of the bag. That's not counting the laptop/iPad slot or any of the outside tie down points using the straps. Can't wait to get many years out of this bag!

Best all-round backpack

I have both v1 and v2 backpacks. The v1 backpack proved to be an amazing backpack for "everyday" and every flight trip. I was shocked how much a good backpack with side access can change my daily life (my previous photography backpacks were useless on the daily). There are some issues on v1: side internal pockets are not practical, notebook pocket is both too deep and too tight, I had one of the zippers break on the side. On the latter, I have reported this to Peak Design last month hoping to get a replacement zipper and they replaced the whole backpack.
The v2 seemingly addresses all of these issues. The side pockets are much more practical, the internal magnetic front pocket is larger, the notebook compartment is much improved. I love the fact that the straps are now magnetic as it makes it much easier to put the backpack on a suitcase (one of those things that you don't know you need until you get it). The zippers are definitely smoother and faster; time will tell if they are also more durable, but a) everything about this backpack in marketing turned out true so far so I am hopeful and b) the company has a proven amazing customer support policy so I have no fears. If there is anything to complain about the v2 is that (although it looks amazing) the navy blue color is hard to clean and dirt is easy to pick up.

I have been searching for the perfect backpack for all my gear for almost a year. I finally decided on the 20L everyday backpack. It holds everything perfect, and fits me like a glove. The quality is great as well. All in all, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.
