The Bag!

So there are two sizes, I watched the video and was like I know what size I want...wrong! The 30L arrived and I was like that's the size of my torso and some. The return process was amazing and soon enough I had the 20l in my possession!
So after my little misstep the 20 lire is amazing. So I purchased to have a camera bag/backpack. I have a sling over the shoulder but it I'm walking around a little just taking amateur photos it's gets heavy but I will still keep my side slingbag for the purpose but if I plan on walking a little or going overseas I wanted something a bit more travel friendly. I didn't want a bag that screamed camera bag, mainly for personal safety and totally want to underplay what's in there. This bag achieves that. (The camera gear I have is a mirrorless camera plus a couple of prime lenses and a tele, sometimes the tripod comes, sometimes the flash and little bits like that - not a professional so sometimes instruction cards too).
While wanting a bag to carry my camera gear I wanted a bag to serve me in other was especially at this price point. So it's currently doubling as a work bag. It fits the work 13" laptop no stress. It also fits my surface book 15" but with that hinge it's a touch tighter. I don't think I would try both laptops in the rear pocket together it feels too tight but you could easily place one into the main pocket if you were a person who needs two. Because I like to travel lighter on the weekends plus I'm lazy I will often have a work bag large enough to fit my more weekend cross body bag so I have all the junk if my personal life in my work bag without any efforts. So my cross body fits in this awesome and the side access works really well.
I would suggest if you have a preference to swing and side access a particular way then the opposite side use the little lock tabs and lock the other side to slow down your ability to open everything onto the ground because you just threw things in the bag back rather than actually pack them.
I should stop rambling through this because there are other things too, the everything screams quality! I was not expecting the material to be as stiff and firm and structured. It is really structured so I feel like I need to wear the bag in. I don't have any problems with that but if you had hoped to maybe stuff this bag into a suitcase or something weird like that you won't be able to. I love this bag and I'm so glad I purchased!
I have had bags from LowePro, Clik Elite, Thinktank, etc... I have yet to find the perfect camera bag because there are always so many tradeoffs. And unfortunately, despite being a great back, the Peak Design EDB is no exception.
What I Like. The bag is relatively functional without looking like a camera bag. It's hip and stylish, and has some great accessibility features like dual side zips, quick release top entry, and a laptop sleeve. The strap system can be used in a lot of different ways, and the side pockets can accommodate jackets, water bottles, and a Peak Design tripod. The dual zips make it easy to access gear while having the bag over one shoulder. Also, while it might seem expensive on the surface, this is a lot cheaper than similar models from Think Tank. The shoulder straps are ok, but not great. The way they stay flat with a magnet is very innovative and surprisingly convenient.
What I don't like: The first thing I don't like is how much wasted space the shelf system creates. It trades efficient storage for efficient access. If you have a log of gear that needs to be carried (i.e multiple bodies, lenses, and lights,) this might not be the bag for you. The big downside is lack of pockets for small gear. There is no real storage for batteries, cables, cards, etc. I suppose this is to get you to buy an accessory pouch, but that isn't ideal. It also would be hard to use a full size tripod with this bag.
Overall, I think this is a really good bag, but it doesn't check enough boxes to be perfect. I think it's best for people that travel with a relatively small amount of gear. Think five or six pieces of body/lens/flash. That is probably more than the average person travels with, but less than the typical pro uses.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I tried PD everyday backpack 20l through nok tryouts. I wanted to love it. All this time I had older generation bigger backpack and never reached for it except for longer trips when I had to bring camera with me. I kept thinking if only I get a smaller bag then I’ll be able to use it as an everyday backpack. My kids are out of diapers so I don’t need a diaper bag per se but need it to be a bag that provides easy access. Unfortunately peak design fell short. Getting anything in and out of it is an ordeal unless it is in the very top pocket under the flap. I struggled so much during my few days taking kids around town. I will not be purchasing it. The quality is great but the bag isn’t an everyday backpack it claims to be.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just purchased the Everyday Sling 10L (V2) to use it for work. I was able to use it for about 2 weeks before my office closed because of the coronavirus pandemic. During that time i felt it was a little too small for my liking. my 13inch macbook pro (2010) didn't fit well. It was a struggle to put it inside the laptop pocket. Plus if i decide to bring my dslr camera and an extra lense it would probably a very tight fit or not fit at all. Don't get me wrong this sling looks and feels very well made. The materials used are top notch. Anyway, i guess i'll just continue to search for my edc work bag but still keep this to use for non work stuff. Stay safe and healthy! Thank you! Cheers!

Everyday Backpack 20L

This is a well made bag with a unconventional design. It is different to use than what I used to in most camera bags but, accepting it's differences I find it very handy for a walk around bag in daily use in urban areas or for light travel. The top access is where I usually keep a body with lens mounted. I carry another lens in one side, another lens in the other side with various filters, blower, cloth, memory card, battery, two remotes, two cables, power bank, and step up ring. Albeit it is not my most commonly used bag, it is my favorite out of what I currently own (I have too many). I typically use a smaller bag for day-carry merely because of the size.

this backpack has been a game changer for traveling and ease of bringing the camera with. The backpack not only looks sleek, professional and premium, but servers it purposes to fullest extent and makes traveling with my camera 100 times easier. It is one thing that the backpack is exceptional for use, but the design details with the closures, clamps and sleek zippers sets the design buff in my on fire. I will only use Peak Design moving forward, and highly recommend to anyone who transports their cameras.

Everything's perfect and its the best backpack existing on earth as of date. This backpack is on a different league so please dont compare those 4 stars with any other backpacks.
You would have got my 5 stars if the below mentioned things would have been present. 1.Pocket on the straps for easy access of passport or credit cards 2.Rain cover. 3.Seperate pocket at the bottom to store wet clothes or shoes etc etc. 4.Hip belt. 6.A dedicated easy access compartment for storing sunglasses. 7.Leather version would look out of the world. 8.Some more room for expansion.

FINALLY FOUND MY CAMERA BAG
on February 1, 2020

I purchased the 30L V2 Black and absolutely LOVE this bag! This bag is beautiful!!! I'm able to fit most of my camera kit to have on me at all times.
Here's what I have in mine: * Sony A7R II * Sony A6300 * Sony 18-105 F4 * Tamron 28-75 F2.8 * 2 Godox TT600 speedlites * Godox Flash trigger * AndyCine A6 external monitor * 4 Sony batteries, cables and external charger * 15" Macbook Pro * 15" external USB monitor * Headphones * 3 external harddrives * cables and SD card holder * Logitech MX Master 2S
The only thing about this bag that I hope gets updated in the next version is the laptop zipper. I wish it would open a little wider to help make getting things in/out of it easier.
