It's easy to use for camera or as a school bag. It's size is perfect, fits well and easy to walk kms with it. Use it for city walks and even treks. It can also handle the rain, dirt or anything you throw at it.
I bought the bag for convenient and stylish transport of my foto gear on city trips. But liked it so much that it quickly also became my preferred business trip bag for laptop and overnight stuff. Using it now for 4 years and very satisfied with the bag.
I bought this Everyday back pack for a month already. I’m very please with the quality and innovative design of the product from Peak Design. I test the back pack in a very heavy rain while I was riding my motor bike. No leak at all in heavy rain at about 10 minutes of my ride. But off course it come with very steep cost for us in Malaysia
There’s nothing I can complain with the Everyday Backpack! It’s form & substance is superb in all aspect. It’s minimalist & great for travel too! The exterior is well thought of & it can stand in any weather condition. Highly recommended!
I use this bag like a pair of favorite jeans. It goes with me everywhere for work and even the occasional personal travel. I photograph between 20 - 25 weddings per year, and have many engagement sessions, portrait shoots, commercial shoots, etc thrown in there. This bag has been everywhere with me. Laying in the desert brush, resting against a pine tree, tossed on the beach, really it's seen it all. It's the perfect destination bag, too. I can store my laptop, iPad, two bodies and some lenses in there and it all goes under the seat in front of me on the plane. I'm flying about 15 times per year for work, so it's seen it's fair share of miles. The bag is just all around perfect for my needs. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again and again if it weren't so well made.
I have been using my 30L backpack everyday for a few weeks and really enjoy it. I am not a photographer so I have found less use for the divider shelves but they are still useful to have incase I'm carrying anything soft I want to avoid crushing.
The build is exceptional good and I have received multiple compliments on the look and features.
My only issue is that it is quite heavy for a bag (even while empty) and not always very comfortable on the shoulders under heavy load.
The price is also very high but I believe it is worth it for the quality and features it offers.
I wouldn't recommend for a long hiking trip where a lot of weight is carried but for an everyday bag it works very well.
I really wanted to love this backpack. The quality is obvious. It feels solid, the materials are high quality and it's put together very well. The customization is what I was looking for so I could arrange things how I want. I had the 20L, which is the perfect size. It fits nicely on your back and is very comfortable to wear. There are a ton of little features and pockets which is very cool. In addition, it's not bulky at all. In fact it is nice and sleek so you won't be bumping into things all the time.
BUT, I just couldn't make it work in a way that I felt confident that my camera gear was secure and well protected. The foldable dividers didn't stay in place very well (I mean the folding parts - the velcro itself is very strong).
I spent an obscene amount of time trying different configurations. But the result was always the same. My lenses and gear were kind of flopping around inside. I like my stuff (especially Camera body and lenses) to be nice and snug in their place, with some decent protection around them. I am very gentle with my gear, so I'm not tossing this bag around. But even just walking you could feel stuff moving around inside.
In the end, I ended up returning the bag, much to my disappointment. The divider system is a nice idea, but I needed something that allows me to put my stuff inside and not have to think about its health and well-being.
I can imagine that for non-photography or non-delicate/expensive gear, this bag is awesome. And indeed it is. But for camera gear, protection is the top priority. Maybe someone could make it work better, but I just didn't get there. Given the high quality and innovative design, it's probably worth a try to see if you can make it work for your needs.
