By far the most useful bag I have ever owned

I bought this bag in or around 2018 - I'm only writing the review now because I recommended this bag to my brother, and realized it was criminal that I hadn't posted a public one yet.
This badboy has been with me to 10+ countries, been thrown in and out of every size of airplane, and generally been my bag of choice for everything that comes up. I have dragged it through immigration lines by the strap, and have worn it as a backpack because I had my hands full. It feels like a small bag, but somehow holds everything... like it always manages to hold everything.
I tried tons of different specialized bags to use for getting my pilot's license, and this thing (surprise!) holds everything perfectly. Weekend bag? check. Month long trip? Rock this guy plus a backpack or carryon. Which brings me to the *only* flaw I can think of. It doesn't sit well on top of a rolling suitcase. The bag will want to slide off the top, and can tip over the whole arrangement when you're on the run.
Also, and I can't explain this with anything other than witchcraft... it looks *exactly* the same as when I bought it.
11 out of 10.

My sage green duffel goes with my everywhere. I've had this bag since its launch via Kickstarter and haven't regretted it a day. The bag is big enough to hold multiple packing cube volumes, and I can get 4 of the large size ones in if they aren't too packed up. It's made incredibly well, just like all the Peak kit I own. You can stuff it, toss it about and be sure its going to hold up to whatever you can throw at it. I've set it up to hold 2-3 days worth of clothes for my wife and 2 kids, and it excels at this. If it's just me, I can get 5 days worth of clothes, my toiletries bag, and my tech bag with zero issues.
The outside pockets are good for smaller items, but when the bag is fully packed with packing cubes, there isn't a ton of room left to use these for larger items, but it will hold a call phone, small books/magazines, or some of the toiletries you need quicker access to. A protip for the handles - even if the magnets are a bit weak, if you clip them together and then twist the handles around, the strap will be MUCH more secure when using this carry method. You can always opt for the nicely padded shoulder carry strap instead though. The only quibble I have here is the carry straps can be reconfigured to do a backpack style carry, but this never works for me. When fully packed, the straps are just too short for my body type and I have to move them back. The straps are easy enough to pop off and move back though, and I'm sure for someone this is a great carry option.
When Peak Design got into the travel bag business, I knew I'd love their take on a classic duffle bag. If you travel, often for for longer periods of time, this is a great one bag option for individuals, or a shorter multi-day bag for small families. Big shout to the PD crew for great products!

Great compact and sleek duffel bag

Bought this to use as a carry on bag and was worried it wouldn't hold 1 weeks worth of clothes. My previous duffel bag carry on was 40 L and is good for maybe 3/4 days worth of clothes. I managed to fit more in this bag which is 35L using the packing cubes Peak Design sells. I was able to pack one pair of boots, ten shirts, 2 pairs of jeans and 10 pairs of socks and boxer briefs along with a wash pouch. It is also a plus that the bag is black and sleek and love that the Peak Design logo is subtle.
If there are any criticisms it's that the magnets on the handles and on the sides of the bag are weak and are almost useless. If I don't place the bag on the ground ever so gently, the handles come apart. Also I wish the clips for the shoulder strap were made of aluminum like the ones on the handles instead of plastic.

Unsung Hero

You always hear about the Everyday bag and the Travel Backpack, but you never hear much about the Travel Duffel. It’s a great bag for short trips, but it’s also super convenient as your carry-in bag. Since it opens with a top mounted zipper (instead of a panel, like the Travel Backpack), it’s easier to access on planes, buses, and trains. The wide open interior fits a wider variety of stuff versus the Everyday bag.
I wish the straps were a little longer so it could comfortably worn as a backpack sometimes.

Wonderful Duffel

For reference I got the 35L. Absolutely great duffel that compliments all my other PD bags. Quality and materials are great. Plenty of storage and flexibility.
My only gripe is the handles. I expected a little more padding, and for the magnets to be stronger. If you’re not using the shoulder strap (which is very comfortable) it can be a little uncomfortable to carry. The handles are just a little firm and can dig into your hand.
But that’s my only gripe. It’s my go to weekend bag, and I’m really happy with it. Unapologetically Peak Design, and that’s what makes it great.

My most used bag

Bought it December 2019, and it instantly became my most used bag. It's very, very versatile. I use it to the gym / svimming pool several days per week, and as hand luggage when traveling. I even carry my assembled underwater camera gear in it, that works very well and doesn't scream "CAMERA GEAR" on busy piers. It has taken a lot of beating, and still looks good after more than three years.

Wish it has a luggage pass-through for roller bag

Fit and finish is top notch PD. Only thing I wish it has is a luggage pass-through for roller bag carry. Would really help for the use cases when you carry this w/ a roller.

35l duffel bag

I’ve had the bag for over two weeks. I was considering a new duffel bag for traveling . In general I travel with an adidas standard duffel bag. I went in store and seeing it in person made me purchase it. I didn’t think the bag would be enough as a carryon but seeing it in person and how sleek it is changed that. I just came back from a 10 day trip in Africa . I purposely overpacked to see the capacity of this bag. I also brought a medium cube bag. Definitely worth the purchase and serves my purpose. Glad I went in store and did my research.
