They need to fix the handles on the 35L Bag

I love so much about this bag but there’s two huge problems. I’m disappointed every time I pick up my bag by the handles. They aren’t comfortable and they never stay together. They’ve fixed this with the 65L bag. But they need to fix the 35L bag. I would buy a new on in a second if they did.
Also the clips holding the should strap have both broken but luckily you can feed it through the handle and it still works. Not at all ideal but it didn’t make the bag unusable. Needs to be fixed in a new version.

Bought my bag week ago. Good design and style. Only downside carry on handle doesn't feel premium as it not ergonomic in hand and magnet don't hold. Wish PD can send all the customer replace handle as gift.

Gorgeous bag, hate the handles and magnet concept.

By far, this is the best looking duffel I've seen out there. Outside pockets are great, main capacity is...a duffel...wide open for loading however you see fit, material and craftsmanship live up to the PD reputation. Big gripe with this bag is that the magnets do not work at all to either keep the handles together or to keep the bag's top corners pinned down as advertised. Biggest grip with this bag is that the handles are oriented so that they sit on their edges in the hand. This was done so that the magnets could keep the handles together, but the magnets don't work and the handles, in that orientation, are senselessly uncomfortable and awkward in the hand. Even if the handles weren't in this orientation, the leather is still very stiff and uncomfortable for hand carry. I don't carry duffels in backpack mode, but I can't imagine these handles are doing anybody any favors in that mode either. This bag needs a redesign quick, fast, and in a hurry.

Good quality but my experience in use was okay

I had the black version and it worked fine, but certain things made it less stellar than many of the other PD products I've used. The semi-rigid handle lost its rigidity after a few trips of use. The magnetic tab holders were nice in thought but they weren't strong enough to hold them down as I moved with the bag. With the black version, I had a hard time seeing the logo tab so then I often couldn't tell which side was which and opened the wrong external pocket. Feel like for the money, I would've been happier with a different duffel.

I THINK IT'S A PERFECT BAG, HERE IS WHY

NEVER FELT THIS HAPPY WEARING A BAG SINCE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Don't want to take the bag off of me. I feel like an active kid about to start the school, interested, and excited to go on his first day. It is quite capable for 1 week trip (with the compression cubes). I also personally think that this bag was not bad if you have to commute from hotel to hotel, or place to place. Function and quality compare to price, me personally think this is the best valuable bag from PD.
Material are good and solid, I believe it's durable and strong. It collected some dust but also very easy to clean it. Capacity is spacious, it still have a space after packing cube medium and small. (in my case it's a medium cube and 6L sling, and it still able to carry more like jacket, towel, or even a bedcover at the top of it). The backpack configuration is great, I don't agree with people who said it is uncomfortable, it's TOTALLY FINE! Yes, it doesn't have breathable ability like hiking bags, but it did a great job when you need it. I also don't agree with people complaining about those handles are being uncomfortable. Yes it could be better, but it's totally not that bad, and it will be fine when you know how to grab it. Try to play with it a little, I made both handles tangling to each other a little bit, and it will be fine. However, at the maximum or heavy loaded this starts not to be my favorite carry configuration, not because the handles, but the bag sort of big and bugging my side. I'd prefer using the pull handle if I should hand carry it (not for long time, maybe like just in a queue). My favorite configuration is cross body carry, I'm 177cm 70kg, and the bag fitted my back very well, I feel don't want to take it off. And also, I can reach the quick access pocket at my side very easily without lifting the bag or put it off. A small cons : removing the straps or handles from the loop is hard and painful. It's do able, but I was struggling on my product. And afraid will break the loop one day. Not a deal breaker because I may not change it that often, so they better leave it strong attached. A future improvement for PD : - In cross body carry configuration, I found that it's very possible to add an additional waist strap by attaching it to the loop that has to be the place for default shoulder carry. - Of course handles magnets need to be much stronger than now.

This is a truly amazing bag! It is stylish, practical and versatile. I use this bag to Carry my work clothes to the gym of a morning and to take my gym gear home at the end of the day. It is so versatile as it fits everything easily, and still fits under the seat on the train I can carry all I need for the day - keys, phone, wallet, laptop and water bottle, so I only need the one bag. With other sports bags, I need to carry a second bag to fit everything in. I have done a few weekend trips and fitted everything I need in easily. I chose the sage green and am considering getting a black one for variety! I highly recommend this bag.

Got my bag and a couple of cubes last week, bag is by far the best, weekend bag, pool house bag, change of clothes for the golf course bag, and car bag! Constantly looking for other ways to utilize this bag! But with that being said, and as much thought and chameleon like ways to Cary and use zippers! I like many others that have reviewed this wonderful bag was very disappointed in the magnetic handles on the bag to th point i almost cut them off the bag due to lack of function. Please try to fix this problem or do away with the magnets and put a Velcro flap around them so at least they will stay together.

Amazing workhorse!

I own two of these Peak Design duffel bags. One is a workhorse that I use to carry my spray paint on job sites as a mural artist. It’s ergonomical, handles the weight well, and takes a beating like a champ. It’s covered with paint now, so I bought another one to use as my gym bag, overnighter, and travel bag. I love the design and the quality and can’t recommend these bags enough.
