Gold Jerry...Gold

The quality is astonishing for the price. It's astonishing period. Zippers are smooth and quick. Exterior material is tough yet comfortable for the back. The movable cargo zones allow thorough customization and make the bag just what I need. Kept a fair amount of space at the top for go to items that did not qualify for the exterior quick access pocket. Side zips give lower two areas prime locations for water bottles or larger gear. This completely replaces all load from the top backpack systems that left me searching the bottom for all the shifting items I hoped were in there. A brilliant design success.

A good-looking & useful bag for girls

I am back to school lately, so I need a backpack that is big enough for the books but at the same time not too big since I'm just 1.6 meters tall. The size of this totepack is perfect to me. Even I carry it as a tote bag, it still won't touch the ground. 2020 is not a year for traveling but I am looking forward to take it on a trip.
The only reason I can't give 5 stars is the bone color still get dirty easily.
Anyone who really care about this point, I suggest to choose a darker color. But to be honest it is really a beautiful color.

Fabulous and has what it takes

I have used the totepack for a little over a month and it has done it's job beautifully. I've even had compliments and watched people's eyebrows raise when I swing it under the arm to open it at the checkout register. Today I needed to transport four full 20oz bottles of tea and all i had to take out of the bag was my clutch and my water bottle. All four bottles slid in in a matter of seconds as if it was designed for it. Works great with my Nikon D700 with a 35mm prime, a flash and travel tripod without needing to remove much of my daily carry. You could probably get even more than that if you don't mind having the roll top up. The roll top IS the biggest problem: the magnets on one end never close, but i guess it does have the zipper if you're worried about rain. External lash straps work great for securing it in my jeep. V.2 definitely needs a sternum strap. Capture is really too heavy and clunky/off-balancing for this bag, which is a shame. I ended up making an X across the front of the bag with the external carry straps and mounted capture there, but it's really not ideal and looks very odd. Colors, leather, zippers, material all top notch and match well with most of my outfits. Could use some better security features, maybe a more practical place for your keys and better integration with PD pouches. All told it's a great investment and I love it.

Peak Design = Amazing

My review is not really product specific because all Peak Design products are extremely well made and thought through. The whole customer experience from understanding all the features to shipping updates and including the return policy are just 5 stars. I would also like to give my personal thanks to Louis in the Customer Care team who has been incredibly helpful in handling a return issue when I switched from Tote to Totepack (which was my own fault as I had the wrong laptop size).

Verified Purchase:Yes
All the features are great, but being able to create sections and alter the size of those sections to suit my needs at any given moment makes this my absolute favorite tote. Would love to see a detachable shoulder strap added in the future.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've used this bag almost daily for one year!

I bought this bag a year ago and have used it almost everyday since then. I can fit my laptop, water bottle, to-go mug, lunch container, wallet, pencil case, sunglasses, charging cables, and so many small miscellaneous items. It also works well for commuting on public transit (theft deterrent features have worked in my experience) and as a carry-on (though not perfectly sized for that). This is one of the best purchases I have ever made, and the warranty gives me the peace of mind to use the bag to its fullest potential. Highly recommend!

Near perfect EDC
on December 3, 2022

I was in San Francisco on my birthday visiting from New York and had wanted to see this tote pack in person for a while. I stopped by the store and after trying it on my brother purchased the thing for me as a gift. What a revelation it has proven to be.
I worked as a cinematographer for travel and adventure shows for a number of years: National Geographic Explorer, Vice, HBO just to name a few and give a sense of how much travel I have had to do. Put simply, a malleable and versatile EDC is not only desirable but necessary for my travels, domestically and abroad. There are other bad companies who adapt military grade backpacks to edcs. These are absolutely useless for domestic travel as they are heavy or overbuilt, wrongfully taking the principles of war zones and trying to apply them to civilian travel. Then there are other companies who make heritage style backpacks that may look pretty from afar but are functionally useless. This tote pack is all I use now for a few-- seemingly revolutionary -- reasons.
The stiff yet creatively versatile dividers have allowed me to compartmentalize the pack in a way that allows me to separate foodstuffs from camera gear and even make a small space for swimming gear if I'm heading to the gym. That personalization is simply unavailable on any other pack I have owned. Also, the positioning of the zippers that access these dividers, particularly the side ones allows for a convenience when wearing the pack that is unmatched in any other bag I've ever used. You can access things by just allowing the pack to swing under your arm to your front and still keep moving briskly and conveniently as you head about your day. The materials are light and durable, which become the only concerns when you are carrying an EDC. What a surprise for me it was to notice that the slender backpack straps about which I was initially suspicious for being so thin actually provide a perfect amount of comfort and keep the bag light. I have cut through airports with a larger travel bag on my back and shifted this one to my hands as a tote with the top handles or situated it on top of a wheelie.
This is a near perfect bag. If I was to nitpick one possible and very slight improvement that could be made in future iterations, then it would be to expand ever so slightly small quick access pocket on the top front of the bag. The mesh pockets inside that little space are simply too small to be of much use and so I would make those mesh pockets a little larger or completely remove them. For now the space, holds my keys, a pen, some sunglasses and my headphones. So it works adequately. And this is me just suggesting it could be ever so slightly better.
Overall, this is a good-to bag that is nearly revolutionary in function and form. Highly recommended. Aesthetically, I receive multiple compliments over its elegance in design.

Great for teachers!

I purchased this bag a month ago while looking for something that would stand up to weather, field trips, and general classroom chaos while being able to fit everything I needed it to.
The Everyday Totepack has more than stood up to that task. It fits my laptop, marking, daily supplies and even my lunch while keeping its structure and closing securely.
I enjoy the magnet access from the top and the ability to secure the side zippers with the pull tabs and loops on the bottom. It is currently winter, and I was delighted to learn the outside is easy to clean from snow, slush and dirt.
The adjustable inserts mean I can manipulate the storage options to what I need on any given day, which has been great for field trips.
I would recommend this to a friend!
