Love it! Going to buy the other color too!

Love it! Couldn't say enough good things about this bag, super well thought out. I use it as an everyday bag from farmers market run to hiking.
There are few things I would like to see as improvements in the V2 though.
There are few things I would like to see as improvements in the V2 though.
First the entire inside of the bag is basically Velcro, so why not take advantage of that. Design Velcro pouches to even further the modularity of the bag. For example like a rectangle Velcro panel with elastic or zipper pockets so you could store smaller items without it rolling around since the bag itself is pretty rigid.
Second hook straps on the outside to store extra items is such a clever design but there is a problem I keep running into. Since the adjustable straps are a silky smooth material, kind of like all outdoor waterproof materials. For say a hammock, whenever I tie it down outside the bag, it would very easily slip off. Maybe an elastic strap would be a better fit.
Third and last is just a little picky but I spend almost 200 on a bag, I do wish it would come with the side strap that goes across your shoulder.
In no way I'm writing this review to bash on anyone, I truly do love the bag. This is just my user feedback from my experience. And things that I think would be a good improvement on the V2.

Well designed, functions nicely

I am definitely a geek about all the features designed into this bag and it does not disappoint. My only gripe is that the black doesn't have the nice leather detail as the cream version. I just couldn't take a change with the light version getting dirty, but I'd love to see the leather detail. This is my first large Peak Design bag and I already want another!

This bag is the commuter companion I have ever had. Getting items in and out of it is super easy and the side access function is just a delight. Love Peak Designs design philosophy and the sustainability initiatives they implement into their bags.

Been looking for the perfect balance of minimal carry and versatile. This is just perfect for me to fit all my gear without having the bulky look. Material are strong, the zips are awesome and magnets, yes MAGNETS ARE MAGICAL.

I'm totally in love with my totepack!! I was in a huge dilemma on which bag to get as I tossed between the everyday tote, the everyday backpack and this totepack and I am definitely not disappointed! I decided to go with the cream color even tough I was afraid to get it dirty. The material is amazing and easy to clean. I love the fact that you can pack so much and the side zippers make it easy access, and you can even fill it to the top with the extra space. Love the fact that it stands up by itself. I also love the straps to add extra items outside the bag to carry, I just it last weekend to carry a jacket for my daughter and I and it worked out perfectly!! Super happy with this bag and can't wait to use it more and more.

Before Totepack V2, I was hauling around Tote bag V1 everywhere. Like everyone else, I wished there was a zipper on the top. But I am a sucker for side zippers and could not part ways from Tote bag V1. Then, PD had a sale event during COVID (right?) and I wanted to support PD and decided to give Totepack V2 a try. Not sure if I would like it due to the look. But it has what I wanted, zipper on top and side zippers. To my surprise, Totepack V2 is MUCH more attractive in person. Not that PD did not do a good job of product photography, but in person, this bag is slim (VS Tote V1 which felt more bulky). I instantly fell in love because my main use is city use--office to car, car to home, home to buildings, etc. You do have to keep it clean even with the black because it gets dusty easily. BUT this bag is just more pleasing in person. I do wish the front zipper pocket is a little deeper, just a little. But from my first impression -- this bag is strange looking-- I am now sitting with it and loving with it and thankful someone has the courage to design something completely different looking. The old Tote was not friendly for back carry. This Totepack is more friendly with city walk in a big parking lot like a college campus. Probably it is not meant for 10 mile hike up the mountains, but for city use, I am completely in love. Thank you.

Best backpack I've ever had

This the perfect backpack, Peak Design's team has done a miracle. A whole world can go in there. Here's what I managed to fit in: my 600w godox flash, leica sl with 24-90 attached, 50mm 1.4, 100mm 2.8 macro, 13 inch laptop, flash batteries, spare camera batteries, pc cables and wallet. Shocking right? I couldn't believe it.
The bone color it's just great and even on me, I'm 5'2 tall, the backpack looks great, it's not too big at all, which is a problem I've always had with gear bags big enough to fit the stuff I need to carry.
I love the style so much that I've also purchased the tote bag v2 for when I need to carry less and use as a normal everyday bag too.
Well done, absolutely 10/10

Perfect size

I have a large camera backpack(not Peak Design) ,this is too bulky for everyday use and have a 5L PD everyday sling,which is good only for carrying the camera,but too small for carrying the camera together with the other items such as wallet,gimble.Very satisfied.
