Uneven Temperature!!

This is my first griddle and it’s really everything my friends all said it was, as they’ve all owned one for quite some time now. I love the griddle’s, but my biggest qualm is the uneven temperature distribution. The center gets really hot while the outside edge is nowhere near the temperature of the center. Other than that, I love it,
