Excited to try, a few issues

We're excited to try this but initial time heating to season it we found the burner is making a loud whistle noise and griddle plate is slightly warped. Hoping it will resolve with some use.

Bought this griddle for Father’s Day. Just the right size for my small patio. My handyman assembled it fairly quickly . Purchased a cover along with a few grill accessories- already enjoyed several grilled meals.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Rust y top

The top of my grill rusted pretty bad are there ways to get rid of that?

Rust can naturally happen to the griddle surface if it is able to react with water, as steel is naturally inclined to rust if not protected.
The good news is your griddle top is not ruined. We have done extensive testing on rust on our griddle tops and have never found one to be unsavable. In fact, we have rusted griddles purposefully and found the rust can be completely and safely removed.
Please watch our griddle top recovery and our griddle top restore videos, as they clearly describe the best process to safely remove rust. When resurfacing a griddle top, it can be helpful to use a griddle restoration or griddle cleaning kit.
After resurfacing your griddle top, please ensure you properly season your griddle to prevent future rust. With proper care, you won't have to go through this process again. Here’s a helpful video that explains the science of a good griddle seasoning.
