New Blackstone

I got my new 36” blackstone for Christmas and was very eager to fire it up. Upon first ignite, the far left side burner made a loud, roaring type sound, while the other three burners were almost silent when running on high. I went on to season the surface and found no irregular heat distribution or hindering in performance, just the loud roaring. It does come and go during use, but it is something I cannot seem to figure out why it’s happening. Other than that we are very happy with the new Blackstone and hope you can share any insights on the “roar”…

Broken Gas Rail

While seasoning the griddle I noticed the # 2 burner performing and sounding different than the other 3. The next day I removed the # 2 burner tube to check the Gas Rail and Valve. The orifice broke free with part of the valve body. Looks like I need a new Gas Rail and Valves.

The assembly was quite clearly illustrated and made it easy to assemble. Only issue is that the paint on the side tray was scrubbed down to the bare metal in one area. Looked like the paint was still damp when it was rubbed with something.

Awesome Flat top griddle

I've always wanted a griddle and this is my first one but I haven't cooked on it yet. All my friends have them and tell me that it is so much better than a regular grille so I'm fixing to find out.
