If Windows locked you out and doesn't recognize your PIN, please reset your PIN using the "I forgot my PIN" option on the login screen. This will prompt you to enter your Microsoft account password to verify your indentity and set a new PIN. HDMI Port stopped working after 9 months. Completely useless. Also very loud and very slow. Decent price, but there have to be better laptops out there for the price.

We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused if the HDMI port stop working after 9 months of usage. ASUS is an ISO certified company, as a result, all products go into a strict quality manufacturing standard. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections that ensure each one is trouble-free, and are built to last, this is a random problem. To resolve this issue, check if the HDMI cable is still working properly and check inside the Display Properties your external monitor is detected and selected correctly. Additionally, check in the monitor's settings if HDMI was selected as the input source.
If you are experiencing slow system speed or performance, check if Windows, drivers and applications are up to date. Additionally, while accessing web applications, please ensure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since poor and unstable internet connection will definitely affect system speed and performance. Also, clearing internet cache or browsing history will improve system performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. Regarding your concern about the fan noise. It is normal just like any other brand with the same hardware configuration, for the fan to spin at full-throttle and generates noise louder than normal while the laptop is under heavy load. To resolve this noise issue, perform a full system scan using internet security software or application to ensure the system was not compromised by viruses or malware.
