[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to replace our other vacmop robot and so far, it's a night and day difference in clean floors. The setup within the SmartThings app was super easy and it has a ton of additional features and customizations. The Pet Monitoring feature is really cool and works surprisingly well.
-Cleaning: The cleaning on this puppy is absolutely wild. It has either vac only or mop and vac model. Having three dogs and three girls in the house makes for a ton of hair, this thing kills it at making sure our floors are hair/fur free. So far, we have it programmed to mop every other day and vacuum every day. The floors look and feel super clean. The robot is able to reach the corners and edges of the floor really well with both the vac and mop, so having those little missed spots are a thing of the past. The cleaning station has a 1gal. capacity for clean water and self cleans, sanitizes, and drys the mop pads after every clean or every 20 minutes, depending on how you set it. The vac has all of the usual features, self empty, self fills the robot water tank, etc.
- AI features: I feel like this is where the device really shines/differs from other products. It has a whole suite of AI features like object recognition, obstacle avoidance, stain recognition, pet detection.. the list goes on. Most of the features work well and I imagine will only get better as the algorithms improve. The robot has yet to run out of charge while cleaning, even on the vac+mop mode. It does have a resume function, so if it does run out of juice it will just pick up where it left off. The mopping on this guy works super well, the spinning pads are a huge improvement from the traditional mop vacs that just drag a wet cloth behind it.
- Mapping: The map function is very detailed, it creates a 2D and 3D model of your house, with little models of your furniture and objects. While it's cleaning, it will also alert you on the map where it ran into objects that it had to go around or avoid.
Overall I would recommend this robot hands down. If you're looking for an all-in-one solution to clean floors with the minimal amount of work on your end, this is your guy.

Impressive step-up for robot vacuums

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used robotic vacuums for well over 15 years now, and have been impressed that they have improved from wandering around aimlessly to forming a game plan to mapping out your home, and have needed less babysitting to make sure they don't get caught on something (more often under), and have gone from having to be started to being scheduled to having the ability to go for an extended period of time with a self-emptying bin.
This vacuum, although I had some issues with it, seems like it is another step up.
First off, the mapping of the home went off without a hitch and was both faster and more accurate than my previous vacuum. It made an attempt to divide areas up into rooms, and was generally ready to vacuum immediately after the initial mapping.
From there I noticed the next big change - rather than relying solely on bumper switches or a 2-dimensional view of the world, it seemed to be doing some recognition of what is in front of fit. It would seldomly go until it hit a wall, and would avoid new obstacles (and flag them in the app).
Perhaps the feature I am most excited about - it can both vacuum and mop. I previously had a vacuum with a mopping feature, but I didn't use it as it required attachments, and prevented really being able to set-and-forget a schedule for cleaning. This vacuum uses clean and dirty water tanks to be able to mop on a schedule, unattended. Perhaps even more impressive is that it can vacuum and mop at the same time - it will detect that it is off of the hard floor and raise the mop heads to avoid getting a rug wet, and appears that it would avoid running over higher-pile carpets and rugs altogether while mopping (although I do not have any rugs that are high enough that they should trigger such a feature)
It is unfortunate that it uses dust bags for dirt collection in vacuuming mode, although I do understand how this can do a better job of capturing and storing the dust. I'm impressed, however, that the mopping feature uses plain water without any additional cleaner.
I have had a few issues - it seems to get caught up on rugs more often than my prior robots, and I had an issue getting it to go between vacuum and mop programs - the base station should remove and install the mopping heads depending on mode, but I eventually had to flip the robot over and install the heads manually to get it to work.
Altogether though, I am both enjoying the features of this vacuum, and expect the mopping feature to keep my floors beautiful.

Initially, my husband and I were hesitant to invest in this vacuum due to its cost and the size of our home. Big improvement over the prior model.

I have only had this unit about a week but so far I am very impressed. It mops and vaccums well and has some really cool features. I have 4 dogs and this unit has been great about picking up thier hair and mopping up the mud from when they go in and out of the house. I would like to see a bit better edge and corner performance, but all in all this is a great machine. I bought this on a black friday sale at a significant discount, so I am very happy with the decison. If I would have had to pay full price, I would have possibly considered some of the competitors with more comprehensive edge and corner performance.
I had the prior version of this unit and it was not great. I returned it for a Shark. I wanted a unit that mopped so I decided to try Samsung again and I am extremley happy I did.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great idea! Definitely better then Irobot and for the price it's pretty well design. Only reason it's not a 5 is because the whole for vacuum is very small. I have two shedding dogs and it got clogged. Once in a while it gets lost making circles.

It vacuums and mops at the same time, which means I get twice the work done without lifting a finger. The smart navigation is awesome—it finds its way around the house like a pro and doesn’t miss a spot. I just set it up and let it do its thing. Honestly, it’s been a great buy and makes keeping my place clean way easier.

Decent for Quick Mops, Misses Some Spots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mopping function does a decent job with light messes, but sometimes it misses corners or leaves streaks. It's handy for quick cleans but not a substitute for deep mopping. Battery life is good, but the mop tank capacity could be larger.
