Clock issue

Poor lighting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m disappointed how dim the interior light is. Almost impossible to see what you’re cooking. And whirlpool makes it impossible to change the bulb without having a service technician to change the bulb because there’s no access from within microwave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Another great Whirlpool Appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it so far. It does all the basics. An upgrade from our previous Frigidaire. We have a Whirlpool refrigerator and unlike our previous Samsung, it has been very reliable. Love the 30 secs. button. Even though it is the same size of our old microwave, it actually has a larger capacity. We went with the fingerprint free edition. Price vs features makes it stand out from the competion but it is the history of quality and reliability with our other Whirlpool appliance that convinced us to buy this one.

Cooking in the Dark

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Whirlpool microwave was recommended by a trusted local appliance dealer. I was shown an older model and purchased this one sight unseen. It works beautifully, of course, but certain design elements are just annoying. First and foremost, the interior is dark charcoal gray. What were they thinking?? To make matters worse, there is one low-wattage bulb on the interior. So it is impossible to watch the item you're heating. I like that there is a mute button to avoid the beep every time a button is pushed. But at the end of each use, you must press "Cancel" to turn off the word "End" and return to the clock. Who thought that was a good idea? And finally, the clock. This probably wouldn’t bother most users, but my preference for precision demands that each of my kitchen clocks be in sync. But the auto-locking clock, five seconds after the time is entered, makes syncing unnecessarily tricky. Bottom line, I can't recommend this particular Whirlpool model.
