Hood Vent is lacking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hood vent is lacking in strength. Either it wasn't installed properly or it just isn't great. Since I have replaced my 1999 Whirlpool microwave I have set off the fir alarm 2x, nothing was burnt either time, just some sausages. I've had to start using the smaller burners in the back to compensate and added a room fan to blow whatever away from the fire alarm. Heats up food well enough. The soften button option isn't great either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
