Stopped working after six weeks

Bought this microwave six weeks ago and today it stopped heating. It's under warranty but Whirlpool's service system refuses to recognize the model number, despite having no trouble recognizing it when searching for troubleshooting tips or registering the product. Clearly Whirlpool's issues go beyond a faulty microwave, and that's a shame for a company that once made quality products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with the product. It is slightly larger than my previous model. The lighting inside the microwave is very dim. I wish it came with a manual for learning the buttons again but it is completely functional and purchased at a decent price. Vent fan works very well.
