Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd Whirlpool microwave in 11 years. I was pleased with my old microwave & it was still working (but limping). Since it gave me good service for 11 years, it was an easy decision to purchase another one. I do wish setting the timer was a little easier. There are too many steps to using ice timer.

I hate this microwave

I bought this microwave to replace my 18 year old whirlpool that had a stress crack in the door. I can not believe that the appliances now come with halogen lights, they are hot and dangerous and use an excessive amount of electricity. The halogen light in the cavity is not sufficient to light the interior. It is very dark inside you can not see what you are cooking. They have made the controls more difficult. The unit is very loud when cooking. I will be willing to bet this unit does not last too long. I hate this microwave.

Microwave Replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this Whirlpool Over the Range Microwave to replace existing Whirlpool Over the Range Microwave that finally stopped working after 15 years of usage. I had been very happy with the performance of the previous Microwave & when I researched & discovered that the replacement was identical as far as the installation/measurements & the same anchor wall bracket. All that I had to do was remove the non-working Microwave & install the new one. There was no need to measure & replace the wall anchor bracket or redrill holes in the cabinet above the Range. The replacement Microwave has the same features that I enjoyed & had become accustomed to using. All in all I'm very satisfied.
