[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement for a Whirlpool Microwave from 2003. We liked the product, so when the time came to replace, we looked at many brands. Whirlpool was the best value for features and functions.

Lighting circuit letdown

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Decent appliance marred by Whirlpool's decision to use an inferior lighting control circuit that prohibits the owner from upgrading the dim yellow 40W halogen surface light bulb to either a higher wattage halogen bulb or an LED bulb. Neither worked when I tried them. The interior light bulb in the cooking cavity is also the dimmest that I have ever experienced in any microwave I have ever used.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave cooks well, but there are several features I don't like, The interior fan is loud and operates while cooking. The Interior light is so small and dim and in corner instead of middle, Exterior light is in back instead of over front burners. Window is dark, and interior dark. Can't see if dish being cooked is boiling over.
