[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent computer so far. Home computing and watching quite a bit of you tube videos. This thing is fast, but keep in mind I was using something akin to a Commodore 64. No hiccups yet. All seems to work quite well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I definitely expected more from HP. Sadly after spending hours researching ways to fix the WiFi and Bluetooth hardware that came installed in this system, I found out these components are known for being trash. I am in the IT field and I couldn’t figure out how to fix these issues. I even resorted to getting on the phone with Microsoft for a few hours. Their last suggestion for my brand new computer was to reinstall everything. So my conclusion is that the parts installed, as stated by other users far and wide on the internet, are trash. Bluetooth does not connect unless your device is right next to the tower and still fails. Sometimes it will not connect, other times it drops the connection or both. The WiFi is just as bad, not picking up signal from my router despite my other devices in the same room picking up the signal perfectly. It also only picks up certain signals from my other electric line Ethernet device in the same room. The only way it works is if it is hardwired. The system does start up fast, but I would not waste your money when you are going to have to replace necessary components.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this computer for a couple of months now and love love love it. I use it for gaming and graphics design. Its fast. what else matters? My husband is so jealous, we are saving up to get him one too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This "desktop" computer is smaller than my last ENVY desktop and it can actually sit on my desk! No more getting on the floor to add or change cables. Great graphics card, RAM, and storage. Love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What makes it a "4" and not a "5" is that the high-speed USB ports are on the front of the computer, with the slower ones on the back... this means that I have cables coming out of the front of the computer for the permanent attachments... Otherwise I like this machine. It's fast and quiet... I use it for Photoshop and Dreamweaver mostly.
My chosen configuration for the HP envy desktop is Core i5 with Nvidia 1650 GPU and 256GB solid state drive + 1TB hard disk. This is perfect for all my needs and meets all expectations: fast boot time, no discernable lag in everyday use, no crashes, can run games at high graphics settings.
