Great quality and sound for any use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As far as ear buds go, these are an elite option. Sound quality, design, and ambient mode make these one of the best products on the market. I commute on public transportation for working 3-5 days a week. The train gets noisy and often, I am listening to music or a podcast to pass the time. The Tour Pro 3 fit in my ears snuggly and the clear sound I get make it so the volume of the train isn't competing with the volume of my music. With one tap, I can take in the sound from the train for announcements and stops, and with another tap, I can shut it out. I also use these in the gym and when I am doing cardio on the stair master or lifting weights, these stay in my ears nicely and produce the sound to keep me focused on my workout and motivated for the next set. A favorite feature of mine is the ability to change the track from on the case or see what the battery life is looking like.
I have gotten complimented on how cool they look and asked where one can find them. The look is sleek. The feel is secure. The price is competitive. I really enjoy these ear buds and highly recommend them to anyone who is in the market to upgrade their sound experience.

Great little Earbuds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving these JBL Earbuds I had to charge up the case. They were easy to connect to my IPhone through the Bluetooth function. Each time when I pulled the earbuds from the case, they were connecting when I put them in my ears. My old cheep earbuds, I had to play with it several minutes for them to connect. These are well made and fit into my ears very well. It comes with several size ear pieces that can be exchanged so they will fit your ears perfectly. I’m very satisfied with the way they fit in my ears.
Quality sound: the quality of these earbuds is that they have a deep rich sound. You can distinguish the difference sounds between the instruments. If you download the JBL app you can also adjust the sounds for your own listening pleasures. After a week of using them, the case charge is down to 55%. Anytime you place the earbuds in the case they will recharge so when you need them they are fully charged and ready to go.

JBL sound, great buds... but the case?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These earbuds, by their own, are great! Without even playing with every option, I find the side touch is not as "touchy" as most. Normally, any attempt to adjust the earbuds cause unwanted settings changes, but not these. They require an intentional push, almost like a button... it's GREAT! These also seem to fit my ears better. I jog and walk in the woods and most earbuds feel loose or come loose when bouncing on the trail, but these fit comfortably. Of course, the JBL sound is stellar, bringing out notes in music I have never noticed before.
Now for the BAD. I dislike this style case. I have fat fingers and have LOTS of trouble removing them from the charging case. There's no room to grab the round buds, and they seem to be magnetically held in, so you can't "dump" them out. Really frustrating! Also, the case is large and heavy. Not something you'd want to bring out on a long run. I've done 3 hours on a trail, listening the whole time, including a phone call, and they lasted, but for a long hike day, not sure.
Anyway, the headphones, fit and function are great... the case, at least for me, is a loss.

Best JBL Earbuds Hands Down
on October 14, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to start this review by saying that the JBL tour pro 3 are the best in ear headphones that JBL has ever made. They’re super comfortable, packed with features, and the sound is fantastic - which is why we’re buying headphones in the first place.
The headphones have all the bells and whistles of JBL's top over ear headphones - noise cancelling, Ambient Aware, TalkThru, adaptive EQ, and Personi-Fi (which is one of my favorite features). Most of the controls are handled through JBL's headphone app, and some of them can be set on the Smart Charging Case. I also like the find my buds option for those times when one of your earbuds falls in the couch cushions. Bluetooth 5.3 is standard, with AAC support. For those with Android devices, LDAC and the new LC3plus hi-res codecs are supported. Sadly, my iPhone doesn’t support any hi-res codecs so I wasn’t able to test these.
One of the things that I fell in love with on my Club One over ear headphones is the Personi-Fi setting. Once you have the earbuds fit properly in your ears (I found the best fit with the included foam tips – thank you, JBL), the full-featured headphone app has a hearing test which plays tones at different frequencies. Based on the results of this test, JBL adapts the sound to your personal hearing. I, for example, have significant hearing loss in the upper mids and highs in my left ear. After running the test, the app recognized that and boosted those frequencies in the left side bud. It sounds so much better then running the headphones without Personi-Fi.
Something new for me was JBL Spatial Sound, which I think would be good for gamers, but less impactful with music. I can see this being pretty cool if I was playing some sort of first-person shooter game where you hear the sounds as if they were coming from behind you or the left or right. They have two settings - fixed or head tracking. The head tracking was kind of cool because as you turn your head the sound moves just like as if you were out in the real world. Again, probably less useful when you're listening to music but definitely a pretty cool feature.
Noise canceling was very good, better than on-ear headphones though not as good as what you get with over-ear cans like the Club One. It’s certainly the best from all in-ear buds I’ve ever owned. The three settings - Noise Cancelling, Ambient Aware, and TalkThru - all worked as advertised. As luck would have it, I had to take a flight a few days after I got these and my experience on the plane was better than I expected. Noise Cancelling took care of most of the ambient engine noise and allowed me to enjoy my music. Ambient Aware was great when I was on my bike because it blocked most of the wind noise that you typically get with earbuds but still allowed me to hear what was going on around me in traffic. I also like the TalkThru feature at the gym – when somebody walks up to me, I don't need to take an earbud out.
Sound wise, like I said, these are terrific. My first test here at home was the Immersion edition of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. It's my favorite album and I'm very familiar with it. I enjoyed every second listening to it through the Tour Pro 3. After that, I went with Porcupine Tree’s Fear of a Blank Planet to get something a bit more intense. The bass is strong, with plenty of pump for kick drums, the treble is tight, and the mids fill out the sound beautifully. This is classic “JBL sound.” I tried all types of genres and artists, and I couldn’t find anything to complain about when it comes to the sound.
Let's talk about the Smart Charging Case. Obviously, it's going to be heavier than your standard charging case because of the screen and all the other features they packed into it. You can control music from the screen, it has a flashlight, set the EQ, and you can control which features appear on the smart charging case (from the features that are available, of course.) The case shows battery percentage remaining in the left and right earbuds plus the battery remaining on the case itself, which is extremely useful. They also have the find my case option which is great for those of us who tend to misplace these things. The coolest thing about the case is the new Auracast setting, which allows you to connect the case via its USB C port to a device with a 1/8 inch headphone jack, essentially turning the case into a Bluetooth transmitter. I tried this on the plane, and it worked just as advertised. I was able to watch an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm through my earbuds with my case connected to the seat headphone jack. You can see a lot of thought went into the design and execution of this case, and I’m certainly impressed.
Battery life was good, but not great. I was able to get a little over 8 hours with ANC on, just shy of 11 with ANC off. And those are with the standard AAC codecs – hi-res playback tends to be power hungry. I think playback time that’s a fair tradeoff for the sound quality and features you’re getting.
There’s so much more I could say about the Tour Pro 3. They’re at the upper end of the price spectrum, but I don’t think you’ll find anything better or with more features where they are.

One of the best

I was a little skeptical about whether to buy them but I did, the feeling at first is fantastic, they look great and everything fits in its place. As for the sound, it is excellent, if you have a little fun with the EQ it will be even better. The customization is excellent and one of the things why I use this brand. There are countless options, some of which may not be necessary but it is nice to have, one piece of advice if you have small ears you might have small problems with the fit, for me they are perfect, the noise cancellation is great, the battery is at the highest level as well as the sound, the price may be high but wait for the holidays and buy for less money

The best earbuds out of many that I've tried.

These earbuds are amazing, they will connect to basically anything. It even connects to the PlayStation 5 and is able to use the mics on the earbuds themselves with about 4 hours of playing time at full volume. These earbuds are absolutely fantastic as they solve all my needs. I highly recommend checking out the Tour One m3s that are coming out, they have the same technology but over the ears. I will be picking them up as soon as they launched this month. If you are having issues with the earbuds I highly recommend reviewing the user manual or resetting the earbuds. If all else fails order a replacement, you probably just got a lemon. These earbuds are quite fantastic with the wide variety of soundstage that are delivers!

Thanks for your feedback, and we're sorry to hear you had a tough time using our JBL Tour Pro 3. Typically, these earbuds offer a maximum playtime of 8 to 11 hours when fully charged. The battery should last more than 60% of that, which is about 5 to 6 hours. One helpful feature is "Smart Talk," which automatically switches to TalkThru mode when you speak, lowering the music and activating the microphone so you can hear your surroundings. You can also disable this feature through the JBL Headphones App.

I bought this a year ago. They have lasted so well! I left them in my pocket one time and ran the washing machine with them and they still worked great!
