I purchased the myQ video garage door opener keypad and I can’t get to work! I have a Liftmaster garage door opener that was installed in 2004. Extremely frustrating to try to connect. I’m going to purchase and install the myQ garage door opener WiFi controller and see if that helps

We’re sorry to hear that the setup process has been frustrating. Since your LiftMaster garage door opener was installed in 2004, compatibility and connectivity can sometimes vary depending on the specific model and features available on the opener. If your garage door opener has safety reversing sensors, then your model is compatible to myQ; however, if it doesn't any wi-fi capabilities, you will need to purchase the Smart garage control to be able to set it up and connect it to your video keypad.

I wanted an outdoor garage keypad and the camera was a great bonus. We had trouble initially getting the camera videos and notifications, but appears the problem was with our internet provider. They never notified me that there was a problem, and got very frustrated with keeping connection. All of a sudden everything started working fine.

Very nice substantial equipment and easy to mount. I ordered the backup battery package and one battery came separately. I immediately plugged both in until the lights were green for 4 hours and neither held the charge until they were plugged in for 24 hours. The unit works great and has modifiable image collection options. The keys stick often so it becomes an issue to open the door frequently.
