The myQ Smart Indoor Camera is a solid choice for basic indoor monitoring. It delivers decent video quality and works well for general home security. However, there are a couple of drawbacks worth noting. The night vision could definitely be improved—images in low light are not as clear as expected. Another issue is the bright green and red indicator lights on the camera, which are very noticeable at night. Although some sources suggest you can toggle them off, there doesn’t seem to be an actual setting for this, even after digging through the app for an hour. Hopefully, myQ can address these issues in a future software update or improve them in the next generation of the camera. Overall, it gets the job done, but there’s room for improvement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
